# My GSTR- data is not getting exported properly. How do I troubleshoot?

For export GSTR 1 data from BUSY follow below steps:
Theres two option to export your GSTR data through BUSY.
:Direct export.
:Plain excel.
For direct export follow below steps.
Step 1: Make sure your BUSY is updated with latest release.
Step 2: Open company in BUSY.
Step 3: Go in transaction section.
Step 4: Go in display section.
Step 5: Then click on GST report.
Step 6: Select GST returns.
Step 7: Select GSTR 1.
Step 8:Report Options
·Start Month.
·End Month.
Step 9: After select [GSTR 1](https://busy.in/gst/how-to-file-gstr-1-from-busy/),
. select the export option.
.Few format will appear.i.g. Microsoft Excel,Google Sheet, PDF.
.Select relevant format.
.Then export.
For plain excel follow below steps.
Step 1:Open company in BUSY.
Step 2: Go in transaction section.
Step 3: Go in display section.
Step 4: Then click on GST report.
Step 5: Select [GST returns](https://busy.in/gst/gst-returns/).
Step 6: Click on GSTR E return option.
.Select report genreated basis as Plain Excel.
:Mention below information as,
·Start Month.
·End Month.
.Define a valid path for E return file.
.Check possible error
.i.g Error in transaction.
.Error in HSN summary.
.Error in document.
Step 11: Proceed with plain excel.
