# I am unable to connect the Head office with the branch office using the HO BO Sync. How can I fix this?

To HO BO SQL Connectivity, Please follow Below Steps:

On the Head Office Server PC:

Step 1 : Check and set up TCP IP settings in SQL Server Manager.
Step 2 : Add SQL Port to the Inbound Rule in Windows Firewall Advanced Settings.
Step 3 : Ensure that in HO has a static IP. Also, make sure to set up port forwarding in HO router and check that the SQL port is open and accessible.
Step 4 : Make sure you have set up HO BO Sync for your branch in the Head Office.

In the Branch Office Company:

Step 5 : Go to the Administration Menu, then go to Configuration and select Feature/Option. Choose Enterprise Feature, click on HO BO Sync Configuration, and select Branch Office Configuration.
Step 6 : Enter HO SQL server details, server company code, branch name/alias, and the branch user name created in HO.
Step 7 : Choose Auto Data Sync and save the configuration.

Notes:
Note 1 : If SQL is installed in HO with a Named Instance, use StaticIP\\InstanceName,Port in BO. Otherwise, use only the Static IP.
Note 2 : If you have changed the default port of the SQL server to something other than 1433, include it when entering the server name. Use this format: StaticIP\\InstanceName,port or StaticIP,Port.
Note 3 : If the HO server still can't connect in BO, set UAC in Never Notify mode on the HO server from Control Panel.
Note 4 : If there is antivirus software on the server, allow access to the SQL port in the antivirus settings.
