# What causes data corruption errors in BUSY and how can I prevent or fix them?

If you want to know the causes of data corruption errors in BUSY and want to fix them, follow these steps:
Step 1: If the window is shut down during work, it can cause errors if the hard disk does not have proper space or if there is a malware attack on the system, causing data corruption.
Step 2: If you want to prevent them, take regular backups of your data. To do this, go to Administration, then select Configuration, and click on Backup Configuration.
Step 3: The Backup Configuration window will appear. Provide the folder path where you want to take the backup.
Step 4: You can also set a backup path for weekdays.
Step 5: In the data fields mentioned above, enter the path for taking a backup of data.
Step 6: For example, if you are taking a backup on Monday, the data will be stored at the path specified in the Monday data field.
Step 7: Enter Y when prompted for backup at the time of closing the company and save the configuration.
Step 8: You can also take a backup from BUSY Agent.
Step 9: Download the BUSY Agent from busy.in or you can also download it from BUSY.
Step 10: Install BUSY Agent in the Bsywin folder.
Step 11: Provide the path of your data directory in General Configuration and save.
Step 12: Click on Backup Configuration (Local) and enter the path of the backup folder.
Step 13: Click on Backup Schedule and select the days on which you want to take a backup.
Step 14: Set the timing of the backup and save the configurations.
Step 15: If you want to take a backup in Google Drive, click on Backup Configuration (Google Drive).
Step 16: Enter your email ID and authenticate by clicking on Authorize.
Step 17: Follow the same steps as in 13 & 14.
