1. On 23.10.2019 Ms. Maithili Mehta, learned Assistant Government Pleader, under instructions, has stated before this court that the vehicle in question bearing registration No. MP- 09-KD-9851 together with the goods contained therein, shall be forthwith released by the respondents latest by 24.10.2019.

Mr. Pratik Jasani, learned advocate for Mr. Kuntal Joshi, learned advocate for the petitioner has submitted that subsequently, the vehicle in question has been released by the respondents and that the petitioner herein is not interested in taking custody of the goods. He further states that in the light of the fact that the vehicle has been released, the petitioner does not press the present petition.

3. Ms. Maithili Mehta, learned Assistant Government Pleader has submitted that the respondents have no objection if the petition is disposed of as not pressed. She has further pointed out that the goods are still lying in the custody of the respondents.

4. In view of the above, the petition is disposed of as not pressed by clarifying that, it shall be open for the respondent authorities to take appropriate action in connection with the goods seized by them on 31.07.2019, since the owner of the goods has not come forward for release of the goods. Notice is discharged with no order as to costs.
