Frequently Asked Questions

To create a new folder and copy data in it, please follow below steps:
Step 1: Right-click and select New Folder. 
Step 2: Name the folder as per your preference. 
Step 3: Open the location where the data is stored. 
Step 4: Select the data you want to copy. 
Step 5: Right-click and select Copy. 
Step 6: Go back to the new folder location. 
Step 7: Right-click and select Paste. The data will be copied into the new folder.

To view the report for the Financial Year 2022-2023, follow the steps below: 
 Step 1: Go to the Transaction section and click on Change Financial Year. 
 Step 2: Select the Financial Year 2022-2023 from the available options. 
 Step 3: After changing the financial year, review the data specific to that year. 
 You can also switch the financial year using the F11 shortcut key. 
 Note: Take latest backup of data before any process.

To copy my data to another location in BUSY, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Right-click and select New Folder. 
Step 2: Name the folder as per your preference. 
Step 3: Open the location where the data is stored. 
Step 4: Select the data you want to copy. 
Step 5: Right-click and select Copy. 
Step 6: Go back to the new folder location. 
Step 10: Right-click and select Paste. The data will be copied into the new folder.

if data mismatch between last year closing and current year opening balance See the following steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Take a backup of your current backup.
Step 2: Login to BUSY and go to Last Year.
Step3: Now Go to Administration. Click on Change Financial Year.
Step 4: Now click on the financial year from next year.
Sep5: Clock on Yes, then click on All Master
Step 6: Once the process is completed, the check balance issue will be resolved

If previous year closing balance not match current year opening balance follow these steps:
step 1: Take backup of latest data 
step 2: Open company then go in previous year
step 3: Go in housekeeping then go in update master balance
step 4: Run update master balance then go in administration
step 5: Go in change financial year and select current year
step 6: Click yes on carry forward balance then click on New and changed master and click on start.

YES, to transfer balance without waiting for the full day to pass,please follow below steps: 
Step 1: After finalization of Balance Sheet in relevant previous year go to Administration tab.
Step 2: Then last option of that tab change financial year. Select relevant year
Step 3: A dialogue box appear Carry Balance. New and change master. Select New and change master process will start updating balance in next financial year
Note: Please take backup first before doing any process

After splitting, you can simply open the company again on same time. please follow the below steps to split the company:
Step 1 : Open BUSY 
Step 2 : Press Enter on Split Financial Year option 
Step 3 : And then Select the Company
Step 4 : Select the First of Last Financial Year 
Step 5 : Then click on Split option
Step 6 : Go to Open Company and check the Financial Year is splitted from the company.             

if issue occurred in changing Financial Year so there is multiple possibilities 
1.while create new Financial Year some times because of JUNK in master or vouchers error occurred that time you need to remove JUNK and then process to create new Financial Year 
2.some time error happend while swich Financial Year then close company take a backup of comapny then re-index data of all Financial Year, after that open company and try to switch Financial Year.

To prevent item balances from being carried forward to the new year follow below steps:
Step1: Go to administration menu and click on change financial year option.
Step2: Then click on new year start from option and press ok then select do not carry item balances option and press on start option.
Step3: After completing the process a confirmation message will appear on the screen then you can check item balances not carry in the new financial year.
