To import data from Excel to BUSY, you need to first export the data from Excel into an Excel format compatible with BUSY. you can import data from excel to BUSY like Item master, party master, sales, purchase payment receipt vouchers. you can follow these steps:

Yes, we can enter opening stock data from in two ways which are Multiple Item Creation Modification and Import Item Master from Excel.
Multiple Item Creation and Modification :
Step 1: Administration
Step 2: Configuration
Step 3: Bulk Updations
Step 4: Multiple Item Creation Modification
Step 5: Select either for New and Existing masters then Key Field should be name if alias is blank.
Step 6: Click on Select Filed tab then select the required field for Opening Stock.
Step 7: Load Masters and mention the Stock of each Item.
Step 8: Either can mention manually or can do copy paste from excel sheet.
Import Item Master from Excel :
Step 1: Administration
Step 2: Data Export Import
Step 3: Import Masters from MS Excel
Step 4: Items
Step 5: Either with both Masters New and Existing or with any one of them.
Step 6: Select the required field and excel column 
Step 7: Specify the Date from which price and discount to get in item master.
Step 8: Mention the Excel Sheet path and import it.
Note : Do this process after the Data Backup. Opening Stock can only be add in Beginning Year.

To record opening balances during migration through other softwares.
Step1: Click on the Adminstration option
Step2: Click on Data Export Import option
Step3: Click on Import masters from Excel option
Step4: Select which master you want to import(i.e Items, Accounts and Etc)
Step5: After Selecting the master, We have to set the Accounts field and excel as per the configurations.
Step6: we have to mention the excel file path in there and also the columsn from where, upto where we want to import the same.
To record opening balances during migration through Tally.
Step1: We have a specific utility/Add-on for the same i.e TALLY to BUSY, Install the same.
Step2: From Tally we have to export 2 specific files one is Daybook.Xml and other one is Masters.Xml
Step3: Click on Add-o option in BUSY, Open the utility of TALLY to BUSY
Step4: Mention the location of exported files(Tally files)
Step5: Click on import.
As also can mention the opening of any master manually in wanted to do so.

Yes, By folllowing below steps you can enter items in bulk with serial number:
Step 1: In menu option select administration.
Step 2: Then go in configurations.
Step 3: Select feature/options.
Step 4: Then click on inventory.
Step 5: Enable the option of serial no wise details.
Step 6: Configure the given configuration as per your requirment.
Step 7: Save and go back.
Step 8: Then select data export import option.
Step 9: Click on import masters from excel/Google sheet.
Step 10: Select items option.
Step 11: Then select item required field and same as excel field, e.g Item_Name , A
Step 12: Define the excel file path and import.
Note: You need to maintain your item excel file with required field name and define exactly same in BUSY, then you will able to import the items.

You can create multiple party master either through excel or by bulk updation feature in BUSY.
To import multiple master through excel follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to administration section then click on Data export import option
Step 2: Now, Select Import master from MS excel option then click on Accounts tab
Step 3: To create an account master, choose the necessary fields for account details, pick the Excel sheet with the starting and ending rows of data, and import the sheet.
To create Account master in Bulk from BUSY follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to administration section then click on Bulk updation menu
Step 2: Select Multiple account creation and modification
Step 3: After selecting the necessary fields to create an account master, you can create multiple masters in bulk by providing the details and saving the window.
