Check Material Before You Cut
Open the fabric and trims stock report to see what is available by lot, color and godown against today's cutting plan. Shortages in fabric, buttons, zips or labels show here before the cutting table is set.

Plan the Order from the BOM
Enter the order quantity and size breakdown, and BUSY reads the style's BOM to determine the required fabric and trims. Anything short goes onto a purchase order the same morning instead of stopping the line mid-lot.

Issue Fabric to the Floor and Karigars
Record fabric issued for in-house cutting and fabric sent out on challan for stitching, embroidery or washing. Stock moves out of the store and sits either as work-in-progress or against the karigar it went to.

From a 1,000-Shirt Order to On-Time Dispatch: How BUSY Helps
Kohinoor takes bulk shirt orders for retail chains, cuts fabric in-house and sends stitching out to four karigars in the same locality.
Without BUSY
A confirmed order for 1,000 shirts across four sizes and three colours went into production. Fabric issue was written in a register, challans to karigars sat in a diary, and finished pieces were counted only when they came back.
Eight days before delivery, the team spent a full day ringing each karigar to find out how many pieces were done, then discovered one size was short by 140 pieces because interlining had run out three days earlier and nobody had flagged it. The order shipped four days late.

The BOM now works out fabric, buttons, labels and interlining for the full order quantity, so the interlining shortage would have surfaced on day one.
