How are total sales shown in BUSY outside of the sales analysis

Besides the sales analysis report, BUSY offers other reports that can help you view the total sales of your business. Some of these reports are:
1. Sales Register: This report shows the details of all the sales transactions, such as date, invoice number, customer name, amount, tax, etc.
2. Sales Ledger: This report shows the summary of all the sales accounts, such as opening balance, debit, credit, and closing balance.
3. Profit & Loss: This report shows the income and expenses of your business for a given period. You can see the gross profit and net profit from your sales.
There are more reports that can help you to view your sales data.

How do I generate reports and statements in BUSY

To generate reports and statements in BUSY, follow these steps:
1. Open BUSY.
2. Go to the Reportsor tatementssection.
3. Select the type of report or statement you want to generate, such as balance sheet, profit and loss statement, or sales report.
4. Choose the desired date range for the report.
5. Customize any additional parameters or filters, if available.
6. Click on the Generateor Runbutton to generate the report.
7. The report will be displayed on the screen or saved as a file, depending on the software settings.
8. You can then print, save, or export the report as needed.

. What accounting reports does BUSY provide?

BUSY provides a variety of accounting reports to help you manage your business finances effectively. Some of the reports are:
1. Financial Reports: These include Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Trial Balance, etc.
2. GST Reports: These include GSTR-1, GSTR-2, GSTR-3B, GSTR-4, GSTR-9, etc. These reports help you to comply with the GST laws and regulations in India.
3. Outstanding Analysis Reports: These include Bills Receivables, Bills Payables, Aeging Reports, etc. These reports help you to manage your cash flow and credit control.
4. MIS Reports: These include Profitability Report, Cash Flow, Fund Flow, Ratio Analysis etc. These reports help you to measure and compare the performance of different segments of your business.

I want to check the sales analysis for a particular party/customer. How can I filter and see the total sales, month or date-wise breakdown for only that customer?

To filter and view sales analysis for a specific party/customer in BUSY, you can follow these steps: 
Step 1: Go to the sales analysis section under the Display menu and select the party-wise report.
Step 2: Click on Standard Date/Voucher Wise for date breakdown and Standard Monthly for month-wise breakdown reports.
Step 3: A window will appear for selecting the sales analysis to be shown, Select one party.
Step 4: Choose the report generation basis as per the requirement in the party-wise, Standard Date/Voucher Wise report.
Step 5: Enter the party name in the Select Party section. Click on OK or press F2, and the report will generate successfully.

I made a purchase return but it is not showing in my books. What steps should I take to get the purchase return updated?

If you have added purchase return in BUSY but it is not reflected in ledger,then check that purchase return voucher that all information like correct voucher number,party and series for voucher and other deatils are correctly mentioned and resave the voucher again.Further follow these steps if purchase return doesnot posting in party ledger
Step 1 Go to administration and then configuration
Step 2 Select accounts tab
Step 3 From accounts tab,check option posting in accounts through sales return and purchase return
Step 4 Tick this option and then save the changes.
Step 5 Now again save purchase return voucher and check party ledger,it will show purchase return in report

What can I do if the sales report does not contain information solely for the company I want ?

If the sales report does not contain information solely for the company you want then 
it might be possible you are running another company or you have opened multi comapnies
report to get the sales report properly of your company follow the steps
Step1 open BUSY and go to open company option
Step2 select your desired company and open it
Step3 then go to Display menu and click on account books
Step4 click on account register standard then click sale register
Step5 Click on all sale type then all parties then set date range and enable bifurcation of
amount and press Ok

My sales return and purchase return invoices are not showing in the ledger what should i do to resolve it?

If your purchase return and sales return are not showing in ledger please follow these steps to get this resolved:
Step 1: Go to administration menu
Step 2: Then click on configuration button
Step 3: Then click on features and option
Step 4: Afterwards click on accounts tab
Step 5: Then tick the posting in accounts through sales return and purchase return
Step 6: Afterwards save the changes
Step 7: Then check the ledger and check entries of sales and purchase return are showing or not
Step 8: If still not showing please resave the sale & purchase returns vouchers or run regenerate dual vouchers from house-keeping menu after taking the current backup of your data

I am unable to find a particular transaction in the reports. How can I troubleshoot what went wrong?

If the particular transaction is not showing in the report then follow the below steps.
Step 1: Make sure you are checking the correct report with correct date range.
Step 2: Make sure you have properly pass the voucher, As if the voucher value is zero then it not shows in some reports.
Step 3: If you have apply any filter then remove and check it in the report.
Step 4: If you are using the voucher approval then make sure it is approved then will reflect in the report.
Step 5: Open the particular voucher and resave it as sometimes it get refresh as shows in the report.

Can you explain how sale details are displayed in BUSY with Vehicle Number and Transporter ID?

To check the sales details along with vehicle number and transporter id in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to display section then click on account book
Step 2: Choose the account register (standard) then click on sales register
Step 3: Select all sales type, all party, specify date range and open the report.
Step 4: Click on custom column then specify format name
Step 5: click on add new col. then mention heading, postion and data type.
Step 6: Select Inventory Vouchers(Header) in category then click on field.
Step 7: Select vehicle number and transporter id field one by one and save the field then save the format.
Step 8: Reopen the report with created format.

Why is the party name not appearing in the report?

If the party name is not displayed in the accounting report, please ensure about the 'Account to be shown by' option. Make sure that the selected field contains the data in party master.
For example :- If a report is set to display the account name as 'Alias,' and the alias field in the account master is blank, the corresponding column for the account will appear blank in the report.
Please Follow the below steps for open report with party name:
Step 1: Open the required report
Step 2: Select party name or print name or alias in 'Account to be shown by' field (Select the field which contain data in party master)
