Step 1:
Create or Edit Item:Create a new item or edit an existing item to which you want to apply cess and additional cess.
Step 2:
Enable Taxation Details:In the item master, look for the taxation details section. Enable the option to specify cess and additional cess at the item level.
Step 3:
Define Cess Rate:Once the taxation details are enabled, you can specify the cess rate for the item. Cess is a tax imposed on certain goods to fund specific government initiatives or welfare programs.
Step 4:
Define Additional Cess Rate:If your business is subject to an additional cess rate, you can also specify the additional cess rate for the item in the taxation details.
Step 5:
Save Item Details:After entering the cess and additional cess rates, save the item details.
Step 6:
Create Sales or Purchase Voucher:Now, when you create a sales or purchase voucher for this item, the cess and additional cess rates specified in the item master will automatically be applied at the item level.
Step 7:
Review Cess Calculation:Review the calculation of cess and additional cess in the voucher preview or final print to ensure that the correct rates are applied.
Step 8:
Complete Voucher Entry:After reviewing and confirming the voucher details, save or finalise the voucher entry.
