How do I enter my opening balances when first setting up BUSY?
To enter your opening balances when first setting up BUSY, you need to follow the below options:
You can enter the opening balance for items and account master in three ways:
Option 1: Single item or account
Step 1: Go to Administration, then select Masters, then select Item or Account, then select Modify.
Step 2: then select the item name or account name in which you want to update the opening balance.
Step 3: After opening the item or account master, you can put the opening balance in the opening balance field for both.
Option 2: Bulk update
Step 1: Go to Administration, then select Bulk Updations, then select Multiple Item Creation or Modification.
Step 2: then select modify exiting master. By default, the opening balance field is selected; if not, you can click on select fields and select the opening balance field of the item and account master. The selected field names are ITEM_OP_STOCK_MAIN_UNIT and ACC_OP_BAL.
Step 3: then click on Load Master. After Load Master, you can update the opening balance for item and account in bulk for both, then click on Save to save the details.
Step 4: Then it will update the unit in bulk.
Option 3: Through the Excel import option (in the case of an Excel sheet ready for opening the balance)
Step 1: Go to Administration, then select Data Export Import.
Step 2: then select Import Masters from MS Excel, then select Items or account
Step 3: Select the field in BUSY and specify the Excel column, and click on the right arrow symbol to map it.
Step 4: After this, you need to select the excel file path, select the start and end rows, specify the sheet number, and import the opening balance.
