Find Solutions to Common Issues Related to inventory-reports - inventory books
If you require to generate the report with Sales Price Column then you can use the Custom Column option for the same, refer to the steps below :
Step 1: Open report and click on custom column.
Step 2: Add a format name.
Step 3: Click to add new Col.
Step 4: Named the same column in heading i.e. Sale Price and select the position for column.i.e. Add After F2.
Step 5: Select Data Type as Numeric and set alignment.
Step 6: Specify number of character, max decimal and specify Y for show total.
Step 7: Then select Data field and category as item master.
Step 8: Then click on field Select field name Item sale price.
Step 9: Then save field and save format and reload the report with the newly created format.
You can add Custom Column for optional field in order report.you can add custom in sale or purchase order list in transaction or in Order wise statement report for sale or purchase order in order processing report in display and then then follow some steps to add custom column:
Step 1: After open order report click on Custom Column option and then enter any name in format name
Step 2: Now click on Add New Column option and then enter heading name,position,data type and other information.
Step 3: Now select catgegory Inventory voucher Header or Body and then select field for Vch optional field and then save the format and configuration and reopen your report from that created format for custom column.
To calculate the sale value on a cost basis in the sales register, follow these steps:
Method 1
1. View the report under Display
2. MIS reports
3. Profitability reports
4. Bill-wise
5. Select the required Item Cost price like Weighted average,Last purchase, Last sale etc
6. Next view the report
Method 2
1. Or you can Go to Display: Inventory Books: Inventory Register: Sales Register.
2. Select the required filter from the list.
3. Click on the Custom Columns options to add a new column.
4. Add the format.
5. Add a new column.
6. SpeciFinancial Year the heading, datatype, alignment, etc.
7. Select the datafield Inventory voucher (Body).
7. Add ITEM_COST_AMOUNT and save.
8. Reload the report and select the format name to view the report.
If the alternative quantity display wrong balance as per conversion factor then check that you have not change the conversion factor of alternative unit manually at voucher level. To made correction, you can follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to display section then click on inventory tab and select stock ledger option.
Step 2: Now, select item wise then select one material center or all to view the report.
Step 3: Next, Select the item master, update the date range, select both units in report to be shown as then open the report.
Step 4: Here, analysis the main and alternative unit quantity updated at voucher level and correct in required voucher.
If you want to check the sale price and purchase price of all items used in a voucher, whether
sale or purchase, in BUSY software, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the Display menu.
Step 2: Click on Inventory book and then click on Stock Ledger.
Step 3: Choose the Item Wise option or Merge Items option, whichever you prefer to check.
Step 4: Open the report and click on the Custom Column option. Then add a column and
define the Category as Inventory Voucher (Body). Define the Field Name as Price.
This will show the price of purchase and sale of all items used in the transaction.
To generate a sales report for a specific company's products in BUSY, you can use different methods. Here, I'll explain how to configure it using the 'Item Category' option:
1. Enable the 'Item Category' Option in BUSY.
2. To enable it, go to Administration > Configuration > Inventory, and enable 'Item Category.'
3. Rename the Item category caption to 'Item brand' or 'Company.'
4. Specify the Item brand name in the Item master.
5. Access the 'Display' or 'Reports' section.
6. Filter the company or Item brand name displayed in the drop-down.
7 Select the desired date range.
8. Now the report is ready to view as Item Brand or Company-wise Sales."
If you want to check stock of a specific item then follow the bellow steps
Step 1 Go on display menu
Step 2 Click on stock status
Step 3 Click on closing stock alphabetical
Step 4 Click on one item then select item and check report
If you want to check sale of specifit item across all parties then follow the bellow steps
Step 1 Go on display menu
Step 2 Click on sales analysis
Step 3 Click on Item wise and select here on which basis you want to check report, daily, monthly or quarterly
Step 4 Select one item and check report
To troubleshoot missing inventory items and voucher plese follow the given steps
Step 1 Go on administration
Step 2 Click on masters
Step 3 Click on item then modify
Step 4 Select here item and check the option DO NOT MAINTAIN STOCK BALANCE, it must be disable
Step 5 Now go on display
Step 6 Click on check list
Step 7 Click on voucher numbering
Step 8 Check here missing voucher report and cancelled voucher report
Step 9 After find the voucher re enter the previous data

To track pending orders in BUSY can follow these steps:
Step 1: Step 1: Open BUSY and select the company you want to work with. Then, go to the Display tab.
Step 2: To view the pending orders, you need to go to the Order Processing option and click on the Pending Orders.
Step 3: Choose the Sales / Purchase Order - Party wise option and select All Accounts to check the pending orders for all the parties.
Step 4: After specifying the date range, you can see the report with the details of the orders that are still pending.
