To take backup of your data from BUSY follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select "Backup Data" option from Company tab.
Step 2: choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
Step 5: You can also use BUSY Agent to take backup if configured.

To take backup of your data from BUSY follow these steps:

Once a data is deleted in BUSY Accounting, it cannot be reverted back. However, if you have a previous backup before deletion, you can restore the data in BUSY.
To restore data in BUSY Accounting Software, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY then click on Restore Data under the Company menu.
Step 2: Select the folder path in which backup files are stored.
Step 3: Press Ok to proceed and if the same company already exists then it asks for overwrite it. You can select yes or no as required.

If the complete data is not showing for a particular financial year then first make sure you have opened the correct company and financial year. You can also check after restore any backup of that company in which the data is correct. To know how to restore it follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY on new system and click on Restore Data option.
Step 2: Select that folder in which the backup files are kept and press Ok to proceed.
Step 3: After restore data successfully you can open that company.

Generally after BUSY update invoice designed format do not change but if you face any issue then before update BUSY release we recommend to copy the format so that format will be safe 
To copy the designed format follow the below mentioned steps: 
Step 1: Press CTRL+ F 
Step 2: Invoice document printing(advanced)
Step 3: Select voucher type and then select the the formate 
Step 4: Clck on Copy to Disk and then select the directory where you want to copy the format
Step 5: After selecting the directory Press OK

If you are want to secure your existing data while the import process then please follow the below steps:
 Step 1: Open BUSY software
 Step 2: Go to company Menu
 Step 3: Click on Bcakup Data
 Step 4: Select company and login it with user name and password 
 Step 5: Specify the path in which you want to take backup then select ALL or SINGLE Financial and press OK butoon for start backup 
 Step 6: After successful backup, you can proceed to import data in BUSY

Step 2: choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
Step 5: You can also use BUSY Agent to take backup if configured.

If you want to recover your data and troubleshoot issues after BUSY software crashes you need to restore your data from backup
 To restore your data from backup follow these steps:
 Step 1: Open your BUSY
 Step 2: Then click on restore data 
 Step 3: Afterwards specify the path where is your backup stored
 Step 4: Then proceed for restoration of backup
 Step 5: After successful restoration of data you can access your data
 Step 6: If your BUSY is not opening you can also check after reinstallation

To change the data path in BUSY you need to go Set Data Directory option under the company menu and can change the data path and make sure to keep your data on new path
 To change the backup path in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
 Step 1: Go to Administration and click on Configuration.
 Step 2: Select Backup Configuration and here you can change the backup path day wise.
 If you are using BUSY Agent then you can change the backup path under the Backup Configuration(Local).

To take backup in different drive follow the below steps:
Step1: Open BUSY Software and go to company menu 
Step2: Then click on Backup data option and then select particular company and specify user name and password if required
Step3: Now specify path of the different drive by browsing there and then select All financial year or one financial year as per your requirement 
Step4: Then click on Ok and it will take few minutes to take backup and after completing the process a confirmation message will appear on the screen
