The reason why it is taking so long to take a backup in BUSY could be due to the size of the data being backed up or the speed of the computer.
Their might be also one reason is that you are taking backup on client system and the networking is slow.(In case of multiuser license)

To restore your company data, you can use the "Restore Data" option in the BUSY, follow the below given steps for restoring data:
Step 1: Click on Company menu and then select Restore Data.
Step 2: Give the backup data path
Step 3: Click on Ok or Press F2
Step 4: A popup will appear to overwrite Select No.

For taking backup before make changes from BUSY follow these steps:
Step 1:From Company menu select the option " Backup Data"
Step 2:Select the desire company of which you want to take backup.
Step 3:Select the path where you want to keep your backup.
Step 4:Select Financial year All F.Y. / Selected F.Y as required and proceed for backup.

You can follow these steps to take backup :
Step 1: Go to Company Menu and click on Backup Data option.
Step 2: Now select the company and enter user name and password and specify the path where you want to take backup by click on browser.
Step 3: Now select the FY and click on OK option..

You can take backup of specific financial year in BUSY, please follow the given steps
 Step 1 Open BUSY software
 Step 2 Click on BACKUP DATA
 Step 3 Select here company and mention user id and password
 Step 4 Select data backup path and select here financial year of which you want to take backup

If backup going to wrong folder and want to change the backup path in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
 Step 1: Go to Administration and click on Configuration.
 Step 2: Select Backup Configuration and here you can change the backup path day wise.
 You can also change the backup location in the backup window.

You can follow these steps to take backup :
Step 1: Go to Company Menu and click on Backup Data option.
Step 2: Now select the company and enter user name and password and specify the path where you want to take backup by click on browser.
Step 3: Now select the FY and click on OK option.

Here are the steps for change backup location in BUSY 
Step 1: Go to Administration Menu 
Step 2: click on Configuration option 
Step 3: Then click on Backup configuration 
Step 4: here you are change the location as drive by browsing the backup field 
Step 5: Then save the changes by click on save button

To configure backup location folder in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
 Step 1: Go to Administration and click on Configuration.
 Step 2: Select Backup Configuration and here you can check and change the backup path day wise.
 If you are using BUSY Agent then you can change the backup path under the Backup Configuration(Local).

If you want to disable the enforced option of backup at the time of closing the company, follow these steps.
 Step 1. Go to Administration, then click on Configuration, and select Backup Configuration.
 Step 2. Press 'N' to turn off the 'Enforce Backup at the time of closing the company' option, and then save.
