The proper procedure for inputting and updating data in BUSY To avoid errors, you need to check the below steps:
For inputting data:
In the case of Access Data Base, you have to set a data directory. In the data directory, you need to specify your original actual data path in which your data store is stored, like Comp0001, Comp0002, et cetera.
In the case of a SQL database, you have to set server information. In the set server information, you have to input the details of the database, server name, user ID, password, and other details.
For updating data, you should take data backups before updating:
Data is automatically updated at the time of opening the company if you have updated your BUSY release in both Access and SQL.
To stop double entries in the software after an update, follow these steps:
Step 1:Enter data carefully to avoid duplicates. Double-check before saving.
Step 2:Check your LAN network connection. Disable the sync center in Control Panel.
Step 3:Back up data, uninstall the latest version, and download & install an older version from https://busy.in/
Step 4:If the problem persists, send your data to support@busy.in for expert analysis and a solution
You can upgrade and degrade your BUSY subscription of BLS plan only Like : 1st time you purchased BLS subsciption for three years and next time you want to renew BLS for One Year. But you can't degrade your BUSY model like Multi to single or SS to BS you can only upgrade your BUSY but in bls also you can't degrade your existing bls validity.
After Updating BUSY release if the message is showing with or without backup while
opening the company you can click on the without backup option if you have the latest backup of the
company already and If you do not have the latest backup so can click on with backup option and
take a backup anywhere in the system then open the company.
If error is coming while opening the company in the updated release,then pls follow the below steps :
Step 1: If it showing that do you want to open company with backup or without backup, Then click on with backup when you have not taken the backup and if you already have backup then proceed by click on without backup option
Yes If you have upgrade your BUSY from Verion 17 or 18 to 21 or Update your releases in BUSY then you need to open your company one by one in latest version or release as after upgarde or update BUSY your data will be upgrade so it is recommened to take backup before upgrade data.
If you have an old data of BUSY you can migrate in the current version by open that company. You will see a pop-up window asking you to convert the data to the current version.
Note: Before you proceed, make sure you take a backup of your data to avoid any loss or corruption.
We always recommend to take the data backup then upgrade it in the new BUSY release.
When you open the company in the upgrade release,then you will get a popup that data belongs to older version do you want to upgrade the then will ask from you to take backup before upgrading the data.
When you update BUSYWin to the latest release, follow these steps:
1.Open BUSYWin after the update.
2.It will prompt you to select the company.
3.This means the update only affects the selected company, not all of them.
4.Ensure you have a recent backup before updating your data.
5.Proceed to update the data after confirming the backup.
For data upgrade after software upgrades you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Take backup of your data from old version of BUSY.
Step 2: Set data directory of company.
Step 3: Open company proceed without backup.
