How do I configure auto item-sizing based on item list in BUSY?
BUSY has an option to calculate quantity of item based on the item description by using the feature of Item sizing information from item description. To configure it, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration and click on Configuration.
Step 2: Select Features / Options then click on Inventory tab.
Step 3: Tick on the option Pick Item Sizing Information From Item Description and save.
Step 4: Next, enable item description from voucher series configuration and can specify the formula.
Step 5: In item master you also need to enable the option of item sizing.
Now, when you enter item in voucher you can enter your qty information in description lines and qty will calculates on the basis of formula.
How can I specify packaging unit for an item in BUSY?
To specify packaging unit for an item in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to administration menu then click on configuration sub menu.
Step 2: Select features and options then click on inventory tab.
Step 3: Tick on packaging unit of items option then save.
Step 4: You need to create new items to define different packaging unit as Which items are used in any transactions in them can not define different packaging unit.
Step 5: To create new items with packaging unit go back to administration menu then select masters.
Step 6: Select item then click on add and enter all the necessary details such as name, group, main unit, packaging unit, etc and save.
How to use MRP wise details feature in BUSY?
MRP wise feature is used to maintain the MRP with the sale price.
Pls Follow the Below Steps:
Step 1: Click on Administration
Step 2: Then Configuration
Step 3: Then Features and Options
Step 4: Then Inventory
Step 5: Enable the MRP wise feature
Step 6: Enable the MRP wise details option in the item master also
Step 6: During purchase voucher, when we add the item then mrp wise details window will get popup. Then mention the from which MRP and sale price receiving the stock and during sales voucher can select it from MRP window which want to sell it.
Step 7: Under Display Menu, We can check the MRP wise details report.
Why is party details not getting auto-picked in a sales return invoice when it does in a normal sales invoice?
If you want party details to be auto-populated in a sales return invoice, follow these steps:
1.In BUSY You Cannot Get Same Invoice of sales in sales return you can validate by its original sales.
2.For validate Go to the Administration Select Configuration Then click on Features & options.
3.Then Click on Inventory & Enable the option Validate Sales Return With Original sales. & Save the page.
4.So when you enter sales return Voucher After selecting Party a POP window Appear.
5.Click on Sales Voucher List and check all vouchers related to that party.
6.This way, you can review all the details such as items, amounts, voucher numbers, prices, and more.
How can I differentiate pricing on invoices for customers paying in cash versus installments?
In BUSY, you can set two different prices of same item for differentiate the cash and installment payments by using the Multiple price list feature. To configure it follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration then click on Configuration.
Step 2: Select Features / Options and click on Inventory tab.
Step 3: Click on Item Pricing Mode in Voucher or press ALT+M then clik on Multiple Price List for Items and configure it then save changes.
Step 4: Next, in the item master you can set prices on A-Z category wise.
Step 5: Now, you can select the price category after selecting the party and price will auto pick during voucher entry.
Note: Take backup of your data before making any changes.
Can i do sales return entry alongwith sales while adding a sale bill?
Yes you can add a sales return voucher alongwith sales by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu then click on configuration submenu
Step 2: Then click on features and options tab and then click on inventory tab
Step 3: Tick the checkbox of allow sales return in sales voucher and save the changes
Step 4: After that go to transactions menu and click on sales voucher and then click on add to create the sale voucher
Step 5: Specify the required fields in voucher such as series,voucher number,sale type and party name etc
Step 6: After that go to item grid and specify the item name and then specify the quantity with negative sign and then make a invoice
Can i do the purchase return entry in the purchase voucher?
Yes you can do the purchase return entry in purchase voucher by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu then click on configuration submenu

The item code field is not showing while generating invoice but configured, What should I do to resolve this?
If the item code field not showing while generating invoice, you can try the following steps:
Step 1:Make sure,the item code feature should be enabled in your BUSY.If its not enabled,then
Step 2:Go to Administartion menu,
Step 3:Click on configuration,
Step 4:Click Features and Options,
Step 5:Click Inventory tab,
Step 6:Enable Party wise item-code,and save this window.
Step 7:Then go to the Administration and click configuration,
Step 8:Here you can find an option Party wise item-code,click on it,
Step 9:Then select the party and specify code for different items.
Step 2:While generating a voucher Place cursor on an item and press F4 then window will appear, click Party item-code,here you can pic the party item code.
