How can I configure my email account settings in BUSY?
To send an email from BUSY, you can follow these steps to configure the email configuration.
Step 1. Open company for which you want to configure email settings.
Step 2. Go to Administration menu then Click on Configuration
Step 3. Now Click on Email Configuration.
Step 4. Now in the email configuratoin choose the Email Sending Options and select
Send Directly.
Step 5. Now select Sending Report as PDF Attachment and proceed to
enter the server configuration.
If you are using a Gmail account, the server name for your Gmail account is
smtp.gmail.com.
Now mention the server details, user name and password in email configuration.
Server name as smtp.gmail.com
username for the email configuration will be your Gmail email address.
Password will be your gmail app specific password which you can generate from your
Gmail account.
To generate an app-specific password you should log in to your Gmail account.
Step 6. After logging into your Gmail account you need to click on the Gmail account
logo and then click on Manage Account services.
Step 7. After that click on the security tab located on the right side panel of your
Gmail account.
Step 8. Then enable two step factor authentication within the security section.
Step 9. Now use the search bar in your Gmail account to search for App Password.
Step 10. Now Define the App name as BUSY and click on generate password.
Step 11. Once the password is generated copy it and paste it into the password field in
BUSY.
Step 12. Leave the port option as 0 or you can click on default port button.
Step 13. Enter the sender information in the From field as your name
Step 14. In the Reply To option make sure to specify the same Gmail account.
Step 15. In the Nextt box for the Email Header you can include the lines as per your
requirements
Step 16. In the Next box for the Footer you can include the lines as per your need.
Step 17. If you don't want to remember CC and BCC accounts check the box that says
Do not remember CC and BCC.
Step 18. After configuring your email settings save the configuration and then click
on Test Account Settings.
If you receive a popup indicating that the email was sent successfully your
configuration is working correctly.
