I need to know the serial number of an asset but cannot find it on BUSY. How can I find serial numbers of assets maintained in the system?

If you want to know the serial number of an asset in BUSY, it means you need to maintain the serial number of the Asset. However, there is an alternate option to define the serial number of your asset and search it in BUSY whenever you want. Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Go to the Administration menu.
Step 2: Then click on Configuration then Master Configuration option.
Step 3: Then, select the master type as "Account" and define the number of optional fields as "Serial Number". Then save the configuration and once after taking backup, run regenerate master help files from the housekeeping menu.
Step 4: When you open the Fixed asset master in modification way from administration, then master, then modify option, and after clicking on the account group option, an optional field window will appear in which you can mention the serial number of your respective asset.
Step 5: Now, if you want to check the serial number of an account fixed asset, simply open the account master and check from there. If you want to check all asset serial numbers together, go to Administration, then Master, then List, then Screen, then Alphabetical (configurable). Define the account group as "Fixed Asset" and then define the field of "acc_optional_field1" from there. You can check all serial numbers with their respective fixed asset account names together.
