What should I do if data sync fails between head office and branches?
If you’re facing issues with data synchronization between the Head Office (HO) and Branch Office (BO), you can try the following troubleshooting steps: Before doing anything make sure to take latest backup of your both companies.
1.Check Internet Connectivity: Ensure that both systems have proper internet connectivity. To verify this, navigate to the branch office configuration and click on “Check Connection”.
2. Open Required Ports: If the head office is located at a different place, make sure that the required port is open on the HO internet router.
3. Runtime Error (RTE) Troubleshooting: If you encounter any runtime errors while syncing data, ensure that BUSY is open as an Administrator. You can also check after run Reindex Database from the housekeeping menu in both systems.
4. Company Configuration Error: If you receive any error related to company configuration, ensure that all configurations are the same in both companies..
5. Data Sync Explorer: Check the Data Sync Explorer on the Head Office under the “Data Export Import” tab. If you find any entries, investigate the reason for the sync failure and correct them accordingly.
6. Rights Assignment: Verify that the rights are properly assigned as per the requirements.
