Frequently Asked Questions

If previous year balance of a party shown as nil but in current year opening showing the balance, then might be changes made in last year after creating the current financial year.
To resolve this issue you need to run Update Master Balances from the housekeeping menu in last year then change financial year again from the Administration menu.
Note: Take backup of your data before running this process.

If you want to view the historical data for specific date range, Then you can view it by switching the multiple financial year in a single company.If have seperate company for each financial year then you need to open the desired company and check the data.Additionally, can check the ledger by entering the previous financial year date but work with having multiple financial year in single company.

In BUSY, to split financial year from company, Follow the steps given below:
 Step 1 : Open BUSY Step 2 : Press Enter on Split Financial Year Step 3 : Select the Company
 Step 4 : Select the First or Last Financial Year Step 5 : Click on Split option Step 6 : Go to Open Company and check the Financial Year is splited from the company

To carry forward the new and change master balances during change financial year process, follow these steps:
Step 1: Take the latest backup of your data.
Step 2: Go to administration section then click on change financial year option.
Step 3: Select the current financial year then select yes for carry forward the balances.
Step 4: Next, select new and change master then Click on start tab and complete the process.

In BUSY, to split financial year from company, Follow the steps given below:
 Step 1 : Open BUSY Step 2 : Press Enter on Split Financial Year Step 3 : Select the Company
 Step 4 : Select the First or Last Financial Year Step 5 : Click on Split option Step 6 : Go to Open Company and check the Financial Year is splited from the company

To check the multiple years data in BUSY, please follow below steps : 
Step 1: Go to Administration menu.
Step 2: Select Change financial year 
Step 3 : Select particular year which you want to view. 
Step 4 : click on the okay and view the data. 
Note : In the BUSY if you have a single Fy then only you can view the last year data .

To carry forward a balance in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the company in BUSY.
2. Go to the "Administrationmenu and select "Change Finacial Year"
3. Select the financial year for which you want to carry forward the balance.
4. Click on the "Carry Forwardbutton.
5. A confirmation message will appear. Click "Yesto proceed.
6. The balances from the previous year will be carried forward to the new financial year.

If your previous year is combined with the current year then you need to go previous year for checking previous year bills. To know how to go previous follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu and select last option change financial year.
Step 2: Select the last year to change and press yes to move in previous year after that you can check previous year bills.
