If an item belongs to a service category, you can specify the unit as NA means Not Applicable during master creation in the item master. The default NA unit will enable the Do not maintain stock balance option in the item master, helping to prevent stock maintenance for service masters.

Step 1: Go to administration section then click on master menu
Step 2: Select the account then click on modify tab
Step 3: after select account in modify mode, update the opening balance and save the master.

To deleting an item result in it being removed from all reports,please follow steps:
Step 1: Check item in the Unused master list .From there you can delete directly .
Step 2: Remove that particular item from the every transaction.
Step 3: After this you can delete the item permanently.
What is the process for modifying the price of an item?
To modify the price of an item master, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration menu section then click on master menu
Step 2: Choose Item then click to Modify.
Step 3: Select the required Item then update the price like sales price, purchase price, mrp etc in master and save it.
