How can we import tally prime data into BUSY?
1.To export data in XML from Tally prime, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open company in tally prime.
Step 2: Press Ctrl+E to export masters and transactions( By default data exported in default location (c/program files/tally prime)
Step 3: Rename Transaction.xml file with Daybook.xml
2.To import tally data in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: First download Tally2BUSY Setup from our website www.busy.in.
Step 2: Go to resources and download section.
Step 3: Then find Tally2BUSY setup under Miscellaneous Tool.
Step 4: After downloaded, install the setup in the same drive where BUSY installed.
Step 4: Open then BUSY then click on company menu and select the create company option. Create a new company with same financial year as per the data exported from Tally.
Step 5: Open your company in BUSY and go to the Add on section.
Step 3: Click on the Tally2BUSY option and select the folder where your Tally XML files are stored.
Step 4: Click on the import button and wait for the process to complete.

To convert data from Tally to BUSY software, follow these steps:
1: First download Tally2BUSY Setup from our website www.busy.in.
2: Go to resources and download section.
3: Then find Tally2BUSY setup under Miscellaneous Tool.
4: After downloaded, install the setup in the same drive where BUSY installed.
5: Log in to your company in Tally and export the Daybook and list of Masters in XML format.
6: Create a new company in BUSY with same financial year as per the data exported from Tally.
7: After create a new company in BUSY, go to the Administration Menu, then Configuration, and choose Feature/Options. Click on the Inventory Configuration Tab.
8: Enable Multi Godown Inventory from the Inventory tab.
9: Go to the Addon Menu and select the Tally2BUSY option.
10: Choose the relevant Sales/Purchase types and CGST/SGST/IGST bill sundries.
11: Select the location where you exported Tally Daybooks and Masters in XML.
12: Click on the import button and wait for the process to complete.
How do I migrate data from Tally or other software into BUSY?
Currently, BUSY only supports importing data from Tally using the Tally2BUSY utility by using the following steps:
Step 1: First download Tally2BUSY Setup from our website www.busy.in. Go to resources and download section and find Tally2BUSY setup under Miscellaneous Tool. And install the setup.
Step 2: Open your company in BUSY and go to the Add-on tab.
Step 3: Click on the Tally2BUSY option and select the folder where your Tally XML files are stored.
Step 4: Click on the import button and wait for the process to complete.
You can follow the instructions provided in the software's user manual or contact customer support for detailed guidance on the import process.
If you want to import data from other software, you can export their data to Excel and prepare the Excel sheets in a format that BUSY can recognize. Then, you can use the Import Masters / Voucher from Excel option to import the Excel sheets into BUSY.
The data is for a new company but I have to use the old company's software. How can I make it work?
You have the option to export data from old or another company's software and then import it into BUSY using the TALLY2BUSY utility, particularly when exporting data from Tally and here are the steps:
Step 1: Visit www.busy.in website
Step 2: Then go to resources menu
Step 3: Then click on Download option
Step 4: Then click on Miscellaneous Tool and click on download Tally2BUSY setup
Step 5: After successful downloading, You can install the setup of tally2BUSY
Step 6: Then it is showing in ADD on menu after open the company in BUSY
Step 7: here you are attach exported file and click ok to import data
Note : If you have another software rather than TALLY then you can export data in excel and import the same in BUSY
What is the procedure for migrating data from Tally to BUSY?
If you want to import Tally data into BUSY then you can follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open your company in Tally software.
Step 2: Press Ctrl+E to export masters and transactions data in XML file
Step 3: Transaction.xml and master.xml file will export in defined location
Step 4: Now, Rename Transaction.xml file with Daybook.xml

Can I directly import data from Tally to BUSY ?
Yes you can directly import data from Tally to BUSY,We have a utility for Tally to BUSY through which you can directly import Tally data into BUSY,
Step 1:first of all you need to export data from Tally in an xml file. You can export both Masters andTransactions data and rename the transaction folder as daybook ,Once the data is exported to an xml file then it can be imported in BUSY.
Step 2: Open the busy.in website and download the Tally to BUSY utility. Then, install it.
Step 3:Open the BUSY Accounitng Software on your system,
Step 4:Go to the add-on section, where you will find the Tally to BUSY utility,Click on it.
Step 5:Then you can cofigure it and Select path where your xml file exported from Tally, it will be imported successfully.
