 The frequency of the backup of the BUSY depends on the user’s preference and settings. However, it is recommended to backup the data regularly to avoid any data loss or corruption due to unforeseen circumstances. There are different ways to backup the data in BUSY, such as:
Step 1:Using the Backup option in the software, which allows the user to take a backup of the current year or all years data in a specified location. The user can also schedule the backup at a certain time interval using the Auto Backup option.
Step 2: Using the BUSY Agent utility, which automatically does scheduled background activities such as automatic data backup and cloudsync. The user can download the BUSY Agent utility from the official website of BUSY and install it on their system. The user can then configure the BUSY Agent utility to backup the data to a local folder or a Google Drive account.
The data recovery process in BUSY depends on the type and extent of data corruption.
Further if you have a recent backup then you can restore in BUSY else you can concern in BUSY customer support helpline or reach to your channel partner.

I need to audit last month's data but made updates this month. How can I restore the old data before updating?

 To restore the old data backup in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: If your ACCESS or SQL data is in a .rar or .zip file.
Step 1: Open BUSY or go to the Company menu.
Step 2: Select the 'Restore data' option.
Step 3: Specify the path of your backup data in 'Path for Restoration.'
Step 4: Click OK, and the restore process will start.
Step 5: A data overwrite window will appear. Simply click on NO if you don't want to overwrite.
Step 6: Data will be restored successfully.
Method 2: If your ACCESS data is in db. files in COMP000x.
Step 1: Check the data path, create a COMP000x folder, and paste all db. files in the COMP000x folder.
Step 2: Specify the COMP000x folder where your data is running.
Method 3: If your data is SQL database.
Step 1: Open your SQL Server Management Studio.
Step 2: In SQL Server Management Studio Object Explorer, connect to an instance of SQL Server Database Engine, and then select to expand that instance view in SSMS.
Step 3: Right-click Databases and select Attach.
Step 4: In the Attach Databases dialog box, to specify the database to be attached, select Add

How do I transfer my existing data to a new computer system?

 As there is two method to transfer your existing data to a new computer system:
Method 1: Through backup and restore the data
Step 1: Open BUSY and select the option of backup data.
Step 2: Then specify the folder where you want to take the backup.
Step 3: Then select the financial year.
Step 4: Save the backup then install BUSY in new system.
Step 5: Then open BUSY and click on restore data.
Step 6: Specify the folder of backup and save the data.
Method 2: Through Copy the data folder and set it in data directory.
Step 1: Open your BUSY.
Step 2: Then select the open of set directory.
Step 3: A data directory will be define there,e.g C:\BUSYWin\DATA
Step 4: Then go in local drive and check the folder of BUSYwin and under it select data folder.
Step 5: Then you will found a folder like, COMP0001 then copy that complete folder.
Step 6: Then go in another system and pate the data in desired drive.
Step 7: Install the BUSY set up.
Step 8: Then open BUSY and go in set data directory option.
Step 9: Define the folder path location.
Step 10: Select ok and check through open company.

How do I take a backup of data in BUSY?

 In BUSY situations, you have a multi-layer of backups. 
1. Manual Backup
2. BUSY agent auto-local drive/Google Drive backup
3. Backup when you close the company.
Follow the steps to take a manual backup.
Step 1: Company
Step 2: Backup data
Step 3: Select the company to take backups and specify the user name and password.
Step 4: Specify the path for the backup.
Step 5: Ok
Follow the steps to configure BUSY Agent's auto-backup.
Step 1: Install the BUSY agent exe for the BUSY installed folder. Step 2: Configure the BUSY agent.
Step 3: Configure auto-backup to Google Drive and local drives, if required.
Step 4: Specify the timing for the backup.
Step 5: Add BUSY Agent to Startup
Step 6: Then the BUSY agent starts to perform the auto backup.
Follow the steps to configure backup while closing the company.

I need to transfer my backup data to a new computer. What is the process for this?

 To take backup of your data on the current system, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select "Backup Data" option under the Company menu.
Step 2: Choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
Once you have the backup file, you can transfer it to the new computer using a USB or any other storage device. After transferring the backup file, you will need to restore that backup in BUSY by using these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select "Restore Data" option from Company tab.
Step 2: Choose the folder that contains backup files and click on OK button to start the restoring process.
Step 3: If same data already exist in then BUSY will provide you an option to override it. You can chosse Yes/No as required.

What is the best practice for backing up data and upgrading BUSY versions to avoid losing access to old files?

 Below steps can be followed as the best practice for data backup and upgrading BUSY versions to avoid losing access :
Step 1 : You can use our BUSYAgent utility for taking daily backup date wise so go to our site www.busy.in
Step 2 : Download BUSYAgent Ulitility and install the same in the drive where you have installed BUSY.
Step 3 : Open BUSYAgent and go to General Configuration
Step 4 : Specify data location as per access or SQL
Step 5 : Go to Backup Configuration for Local and specify the folder path of your local drive and mention the interval for backup schedule
Step 6 : Now go to Backup Configuration for google drive and specify your gmail ID, here you will find the option to Authorize the ID so click on that tab also. Make sure that your Gmail ID must be open during authorization process.
Step 7 : Configure the interval for backup schedule
Step 8 : Save the settings and check the backup through Backup now Tab.
Note: Always update the setup on Server system first and then followed by the client systems.

Step 1: Install and update an antivirus software on your system that can scan and remove any suspicious or malicious activities that might harm your data.
Step 2: Set the permissions for your drives and data folder so that only you or authorized users can access, modify, or delete them. You can use the Windows security settings or a third-party software to do this.
Step 3: In BUSY, create a strong username and password for your data that is hard to guess or crack. Do not share your Super or Admin credentials with anyone else. If you have multiple users working on the same data, create sub-users and assign them limited rights according to their roles and responsibilities.
Step 4: Backup your data regularly, either manually or automatically, to a safe location such as a hard disk, a pen drive,etc. You can use the "BUSY Agent" application, which allows you to store your backup files on Google Drive as well.

What is the proper way to uninstall BUSY without losing data?

 If you want to uninstall your BUSY without losing your data, you have to take backup of your whole data and then start uninstallation process. 
To take backup of your data before uninstalling BUSY follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select "Backup Data" option from Company tab.
Step 2: choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
Step 5: You can also copy your whole data folder.
To uninstall BUSY from your system, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Control Panel and select Programs and Features.
Step 2: Locate the BUSY application and any related updates in the list of installed programs.
Step 3: Right-click on each item and select Uninstall to remove them from your system.
Make sure you have your BUSY Serial Number and registered email ID handy for future registration.
