Pls Follow the Below Steps for taking backup before opening the company : 
 Step 1: Company Menu 
 Step 2: Backup Data 
 Step 3: Select the company for data backup 
 Step 4: Mention the User and Password 
 Step 5: Select Financial Year and specify the backup folder path.

If you want to restore your backup in BUSY please follow given below steps:
Step 1: Open your BUSY software 
Step 2: Then click on restore data option
Step 3: Then specify the path of your backup where it is stored
Step 4: Then click on OK to proceed for the restoration of your data

Yes, it is safe to delete old backup files as long as you have a recent backup of your data.But before deleting any old backup make sure that you have the latest backup of your data if not then first take a complete backup of your data and then proceed to delete.

IF you are unable to take backup and show 0KB then follow the given steps :
Step 1: Change data location of company data then take backup and checked 
Step 2: Then give full rights to data folder for taking backup 
Step 3: If still same problem then reindex database and try again

If showing error while taking backup from BUSY, you need to follow these troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Check after run Reindex database from the Housekeeping menu.
Step 2: Make sure the drive has enough space where you are trying to take backup.
Step 3: Open BUSY as an administrator mode to avoid any compatibility issue.

To take backup you can follow some steps:
Step 1: Close your comapny if opened and then go Backup Data option.
Step 2: Now select the company for backup and then enter login credential.
Step 3: Now give the path for backup of your data and select All Financial year and click on OK option.

When we take the backup from BUSY then we can change the backup folder location as per your requirement with below steps :
 Step 1: Click on Company menu
 Step 2: Then Backup data
 Step 3: Select the company for the backup then specify the location in which want to take backup.

To upload data directly in BUSY you have to restore data , follow the steps to restore data:
Step 1: Go to restore data after opening BUSY 
Step 2: Select the path in which backup of data is preset 
Step 3: Click on ok then after restore complete check in list of company 

The "BUSYwin/Data" folder in the drive where BUSY is installed is the default location for your data. Furthermore to check the data directory from where your BUSY data is running follow below step:
Step 1: Open BUSY and go to the "Set Data Directory" option, here you will see the current data directory.

To recover or restore your corrupted data in BUSY, you can use the "Restore Data" option. This allows you to restore data from the last backup copy you have created. Simply specify the path from where the backup copy has to be picked, and you can restore your data from there.
