What is reindexing the database and should I run it? Will it help with any corruption issues I'm seeing?
Occasionally, data corruption can occur due to various reasons such as a virus attack or a hard disk crash. In such cases, you can use the Reindex Databases option to repair the corrupted data. This option repairs data by reindexing, which involves rewriting the index for the database. An index in the database functions similarly to the index of a book, allowing for easy and quick access to different topics. Additionally, the Reindex Databases option frees up unused space in the database, making it more compact. However, before running this process, ensure you have the latest backup of the company.
