What is the bill-by-bill feature in BUSY? How does it work?
The bill by bill feature in BUSY use to track the payment or received of vendor and customer with their original billing references and to create references automatically by
voucher number for sale purchase or other vouchers
It also helps billing value spliting in multiple parts at the time of voucher entry
you can also generate multiple references for multiple group of items mentioned in voucher
How do I set up account categories in BUSY?
To set up account categories follow below steps
Step 1:- Go to Administration
Step 2:- Configuration
Step 3:- Features and Options
Step 4:- Accounts
Step 5:- On the left-hand side, you will find an option called Account Category. Enable it and save the settings.
Step 6:- After that, modify your account master and a pop up window will appear.
Step 7:- Press F3 and mention the name of category in that category window.
can enblae cost centre in purchases
Yes you can enable cost centre in purchase through the following steps
1 open company and go to administration menu and click on configuration
2 click on feature option and select accounts
3 enable cost centre and save
4 then go to administration menu and click on master and click on account
5 click on modiFinancial Year and search purchase and enable cost centre and save
How does BUSY handle multiple currencies?
For enabling multi currency feature in BUSY follow below steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu and select configuration option.
Step 2: In configuration select feature and option and then click on account tab.
Step 3: Then tick on multi currency feature in BUSY.
Step 4: Go to administration then masters option and then select accounts.
Step 5: Under account click on modify to enable the multi currency feature in BUSY.
How do I allocate expenses to different cost centers?
To allocate expenses to different cost centers in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration then configuration
Step 2: Choose features and options and go to accounts tab
Step 3: Enable the Cost Centers feature, create cost centers under Masters, modify the account you want to assign cost center to, and allocate the amount to the cost center by setting it to Y.
I need to record a payment made in a previous financial year. How do I enter backdated or prior period transactions?
If you want to enter payment transaction which made prior before purchase you may follow some steps:
Step: 1 Enable bill by bill feature from account tab and then in party master.
Step: 2 Go to the transaction - payment - add
Step: 3 Do enter transction and in bill by bill refrence window select new refrence.
Step: 4 While doing purchase entry do adjust bill by bill refrence.
How do i restrict user to save the invoice without create / adjust bill references?
To restrict user to save the invoice without creating / adjusting the bill reference in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration then click on Configuration.
Step 2: Select Features / Options and then select Account tab.
Step 3: Click on configure button next to Bill by Bill Details feature and tick on option Enforce full amount allocation to References then save changes.
Why cant I see the option to adjust the brokerage in my account ledger?
To adjust commission and brokerage in account ledger in BUSY , follow the steps below :
Step 1: Go to the Administration menu then click on Configuration option
Step 2: Now select Feature/options and click on Accounts tab
Step 3: Go to configure of salesman/commission wise reporting
Step 4: Now tick seperate commission / brokerage in each voucher
Step 5: Now in salesman master mention account to post
Where can i find the option to enable single entry system in BUSY?
To find the option to enable single entry system in BUSY, you should follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu then select configuration sub menu.
Step 2: Select features and options and click on accounts tab.
Step 3: Here, you will see an option of single entry system for payment and receipt vouhers. If transactions exist in double entry then you can not enable this option.
I want to check the pending bills of a particular customer/party only. How can I do this in BUSY?
If we want to check pending bills of a customer we can maintain, bill by bill feature from accounts and then we can create bill references for each and every entry.
Then we can adjust references in payment and receipt vouchers. If references are pending then we can check reports from below steps
Step 1:- Display
Step 2:- Outstanding analysis
Step 3:- Bill Receivable/Payable and other reports.
