What is job work and how do I create a job work voucher?
Job work is a process where a business outsources a part of its production process to another party. In BUSY, you can create a job work voucher by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration and then click on Configuration.
Step 2: Select Features and Options and click on Inventory tab.
Step 3: Enable Job Work feature Configuration, Enable the Job ID Option. For Multiple Job ID, Enable the Allow creation and adjustment of multiple job id.
Step 4: During Voucher Entry, Job ID window will get open in each Item After Unit. For Voucher Level, Job Id window will get open after party.
How can I show the wastage quantity separately in my stock account?
To show wastage quantity separately in your stock account in BUSY ,Please follow below steps:
Step 1: Go to administraion menu and then select configuration option
Step 2: And then select fetures and option and then inventory menu .
Step 3: Here you need to enable the Maintain wastage with raw material option in the Job Work Configuration .
Step 4: You can also choose to calculate wastage percentage on pending quantity instead of adjusted quantity.
Step 5: Once enabled, you can specify the quantity of wastage at the time of adjustment and it will be reflected in your stock account.
Can you guide me on how to issue material for job work?
To enable job work feature and issue material for job work, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu then click on configuration sub menu.
Step 2: Select features and options and click on inventory tab.
Step 3: Here, tick on enable job work option and a window will appear which you can configure as per the requirements.
Step 4: After that go to transactions menu then select mat issued to party voucher and click on add.
Step 5: Enter the required details such as date, voucher number, type should be selected as issue for job work.
Step 6: Enter the items details then save.
How can I track job work material issued to the party and received back from them?
To track job work material issued to the party and received back from them in BUSY, you can check the job work reports by using these steps:
Step 1: Go to display menu then click on job work reports and select either out side job work or in house job work as required.
Step 2: Select job register and select one party, group of parties or all parties as required then enter the date range and open the report.
Step 3: Here, you can check quantity issue and received. You can also check the other reports under the job work reports.
How can I fix the issue of my valid job number showing as "invalid" in the system?
If your valid job number is showing as invalid then please follow the given steps
Step 1: Please check entered Jog ID is existing or not while adjusting.
Step 2: Please check while creating new JOB ID is already exist OR not.
Step 3: Please re enter the Job ID and check.
Step 5: Please provide further elaboration on the query by specifying when and
where the error is occurring

When I finish a job and go to record the receipt, the pricing and amounts are not carrying over correctly. How can I fix this?
If you are unable to pick the correct pricing in while receiving the item from the job work then please refer to the below points :
If receiving through Material received from the Party voucher then check:
1. Initially Material received from the Party pick the price as per the stock valuation so while generating the voicher you can take the price from Material received job work window or specify the price manually
If receiving through Purchase voucher:
1. Purchase voucher considers the price as per the Purchase price so check that the price has been specified o not.
How to account for wastage/loss of material during job work?
If some raw material get wastage during Job Work , In BUSY we have option to specify wastage quantity at the time of adjustment.

Step 3: Features and Options
Step 4: Inventory
Step 5: Click on Job WorK Configuration Option
Step 6: Tick on Maintain wastage with raw material
Step 7: Tick on if you want to calculate wastage percentage on pending quantity instead of adjusted quantity.
Step 8: During Voucher Adjustment, In Job Work window we have to mention the wastage details and also see data in Job Work Reports.
How do I create a job ID for job work transactions?
To maintain job id need to follow below steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu and select configuration from it.
Step 2: Then select feature and option from it and after that select inventory option.
Step 3: Under inventory tab tick on enable job work option and then click on configure button.
Step 4: In job work configuration window tick on maintain job ID option and then click on save button.
Step 5: Go to transaction menu and add material issue to party voucher while adding voucher pop window will open to enter job id.
How to maintain job ID and link it with job work vouchers?
In BUSY, For Job Work we can create multiple Job ID Either at Item Level or Voucher Level.

Step 5: In the Job Work feature Configuration
Step 6: Enable the Job ID Option

Why the stock is not showing while entering the job work voucher, and purchase of the item has not been entered yet ?
If you are unable to view stock while generating the job work issued voucher then please check below points :
1. Go Display menu and click on Stock status to check that stock is actually available or not.
2. If the stock is not showing then generate the same throigh stock journal voucher.
3. If the stock is showing but it is not appearing while generate the voucher for a particular item then you can run update master balance from housekeeping menu to refresh the book stock and then check.
