Why was my data corrupted, and what can I do to prevent it in the future?
There could be various reasons for data corruption in BUSY. To prevent it in the future below are the steps to follow:-
Step 1: It is recommended to take regular backups, and avoid working on a pen drive.
Step 2: Also can use BUSY Agent for keeping data safe in Google drive. For using BUSY Agent You can download it from www.busy.in and Install it where BUSY is being Installed.
Step 3: Then Open BUSY Agent and in the General Configuration define the location from where you are accessing the data and Click on Save button.
Step 4: Click on Local back up configuration option and configure the company, time and location where you want to save backup.
Step 5: For saving backup data in Google Drive click on Google drive configuration button and configure the company, time and define the Email Id and authenticate it.
Will the backup be taken automatically or do I need to take it manually?
In BUSY, you can take backup manually as well as automatically through BUSY agent. You can follow these steps to take backup automatic:
Step 1: Download BUSYAgent from our official site busy.in.
Step 2: Install application in same drive and folder where BUSY is installed.
Step 3: BUSY agent will open after installation. Now, Go to general configuration and define the BUSY data path then save the configuration.
Step 4: Next,Go in backup configuration then specify path for local backup with schedule for backup.
Step 5: Afterward, Go to Backup configuration Google drive then specify Y to enable the create backup on google drive option.
Step 6: Define the gmail account then authorise it for BUSY Agent, update the backup schedule and save the configuration.
Step 7: Now, you can manually take backup by simply click on backup now or can wait for auto backup as per schedule.
How do I configure Google Drive backup in BUSY?
You can use BUSY Agent application to take backup on Google drive.
To set it up, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the BUSY Agent Setup from the BUSY website www.busy.in Go to the Resources and Download section to find the setup file.
Step 2: Install the setup in the same drive where BUSY Software is installed.
Step 3: After the installation is complete, Open it and configure your data directory from where your data is running under the General Configuration tab.
Step 4: Click on Backup Configuration (Google Drive) and enter your Gmail ID and authorize it.
Step 5: Schedule your backup as per your requirements and save the configuration. Click on Add to Startup to enable automatic backup on your Google Drive.
Now, your data will be backed up on Google Drive at the scheduled time.
Why are scheduled backups not happening as expected?
There could be several possible reasons why are scheduled backups not happening as expected through BUSY Agent. Some of the reasons are:
1. The BUSY Agent is not running in the background.
2. There is not enough space on your local drive or Google Drive.
3. The BUSY Agent version is outdated. You need to update the BUSY Agent to the latest version.
4. There is an issue with a specific company.
5. The antivirus or firewall settings are blocking the BUSY Agent application from accessing the internet or other resources.
6. The BUSY Agent application is not running as an administrator mode.
7. The internet connection is not stable for Google Drive backup. You need to check your internet speed and stability and make sure that there is no interruption or delay in the backup process.
What causes scheduled backups to fail or not run as expected?
If the BUSY Agent is not taking backup automatically, it could be due to various reasons. Some of the possible reasons are:
1. The BUSY Agent is not running in the background.

If while taking a backup from BUSY Agent, some exclusive file is being run, you want to disallow 0 qty in the voucher, then you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: For this, you need to close the BUSY application, and when you close the BUSY application, all the open forms will close at the time of closing the company, and you can reopen the BUSY issue.
Step 2: Also, make sure no utility is run, just like balance update, rewrite book, etc. If you still issue permission, then you can delete the lock file from the database option in case you access the database.
Step 3: Restart the services of SQL in the case of the SQL database.
Step 4: After the above step, you can take a backup from BUSY Agent; it will take a backup without the error.
How to backup multiple companies/folders?
You can take backup of multiple companies at the same time by using the BUSY Agent, To configure it can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY Agent application configure your data directory from where your data is running under the General Configuration tab.
Step 2: Click on Backup Configuration ( Local Drive ) and specify the backup path and select All Companies or Selected Companies then schedule the backup timming.
Step 3: Click on Backup Configuration (Google Drive) and enter your Gmail ID and authorize it and select All Companies or Selected Companies then schedule the backup timming.
Step 4: Schedule your backup as per your requirements and save the configuration. Click on Add to Startup to enable automatic backup on your Google Drive.
Now, your data will be backed up on Google Drive at the scheduled time.
How to fix BUSY Agent errors?
To fix BUSY Agent errors, you can try these troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Make sure you have the latest version of BUSY Agent installed.
Step 2: Install BUSY Agent in the same folder where you have installed BUSY. This will ensure compatibility and avoid conflicts.
Step 3: Run BUSY Agent as an administrator. You can do this by right-clicking on the BUSY Agent icon and selecting Run as administrator.
Step 4: Check your antivirus and firewall settings. They may be blocking BUSY Agent from accessing the internet or your files.
