I want to separate my TCS Account for the current and previous financial years. How can I do this in BUSY?

To separate maintain TCS account for current and previous financial year then follow the given steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration menu
Step 2: Click on masters option
Step 3: then click on account option
Step 4: Then click on ADD button
Step 5: Then create TCS account for sale and select Group of account as Current liability
Step 6: Then create TCS account for purchase and select Group as Duties and Taxes
Step 7: Then click on save button to create the master

I am unable to find a particular TDS-related report/certificate in the software. Why can I not see some TDS reports?

If you are not able to access the TDS report then follow the below steps.
Step 1: Make sure that the TDS feature is enabled in the company from features and Option.
Step 2: Make sure that your user have access to view the report.
Step 3: If your are not able to see the some reports if it is related to the TDS on salary then make sure that yout BUSY license should be enterprise model. As in the standard model, the TDS on salary feature is not available.

The TDS/TCS return file format generated from BUSY is being rejected on the government portal. What should I do?

If the TDS and TCS return file is generated from the BUSY then make sure that the BUSY release should be updated and you have properly generated the ereturn from below steps.
Pls check the below steps.
Step 1: Click on Print/Email/SMS
Step 2: Then TDS/TCS report
Step 3: Then e TDS return non salary and TCS ereturn
Step 4: Then specify the tds and tcs ereturn path for generating the file or can generate it in default location BUSYwin folder.
Step 5: The file get generate in the FUV format.

How do I link the TDS/TCS data entered in BUSY with the government portal while filing returns?

You can generate the TDS return notepad file from BUSY. For TDS utility, you have to download the the tds site then specify the the file path which generated from BUSY, challan file and error file after that can upload it on tds portal.
Pls check the below steps.
Step 1: Click on Print/Email/SMS
Step 2: Then TDS/TCS report
Step 3: Then e TDS return non salary or TCS ereturn
Step 4: Then specify the tds ereturn path for generating the file or can generate it in default location BUSYwin folder.

The TCS entries I added are not reflecting in the software reports. How can I troubleshoot this?

When you tagged the TCS in the transactions but still not showing in the TCS reports.
Pls follow the below steps.
Step 1: Make sure you have selected the correct date range or quarter while opening the tcs report.
Step 2: If you have apply any filter then remove and check it in the report.
Step 3: Check that you have selected the correct TCS category in the report.
Step 4: If you are using the voucher approval then make sure it is approved then will reflect in the TCS report.

My TDS payments are showing for the wrong assessment period in Q. What could be the reason?

The reason why your TDS payments are showing for the wrong assessment period in 26Q could be due to incorrect entry of the payment date or reference. Please ensure that you have entered the correct payment details for the respective assessment period To 
Step 1: Check The Modify Purchase Bill where TDS Deducted Correct or not.
Step 2: Check TDS Deduction date selected and Purchase & voucher date or expense date selected.
Step 3: Make sure that the correct TDS payment entries are linked to the corresponding deductions.

How can I link the TCS collected to the relevant tax authority and challan in BUSY?

To link the TCS collected to the relevant tax authority and challan in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to the TCS payment entry screen in BUSY.
2. Enter the relevant details such as the tax authority, challan number, and payment date.
3. Select the TCS category and enter the amount of TCS collected.
4. Save the entry.
By linking the TCS collected to the tax authority and challan in BUSY, you ensure that the TCS payment is correctly recorded and can be easily tracked and reported.

I cannot find the TDS related menus and options in BUSY. Where are these located?

You can enable TDS feature from the below steps.
Step 1: Click on Administration
Step 2: Then Configuration
Step 3: Then Features and Options
Step 4: Then click on TDS/TCS
Step 5: Enable the TDS/TCS option
Step 6: Mention the warning for TDS as per your requirement in the bottom.
You can view the TDS report from below steps :
Step 1: Click on Display menu
Step 2: Then TDS/TCS Reports
Step 3: Then TDS Deduction details
Here select the category and then apply filter on party to view the report.

I'm using BUSY on a client's system, and I can't access TDS reports. How can I gain access on the client's system?

If you are not able to enable the TDS,then make sure that you should open the company from the super user as sub user you have not given to rights to access it.Either give the rights to the sub user to access the reports or can open it from super user.
Pls follow the below steps for User Rights :
Step 1: Click on Administration
Step 2: Then Users
Step 3: Select the user and On Expand Menu Option can give rights to the user by tick the TDS option.

The TCS amount deducted by my vendor is not showing separately in my books. How can I account for TCS correctly?

To show TCS amount seperately which deducted by your vendor then you should properly tag TCS account in the TCS Bill sundry.
Pls follow the below steps :
Step 1: Click on Administration
Step 2: Then Masters
Step 3: Then Bill Sundry
Step 4: Then Modify
Step 5: Select the TCS bill sundry
Step 6: In the left bottom, Accounting in purchase then select N the option adjust in purchase amount
Step 7: Then in account head to post option you have to tag the TCS account and save it.
