Should I use the Bill By Bill details window in BUSY or simply view the account ledger? What is the recommended approach?
Bill by Bill feature is used to create bill references which you can adjust with payments and receipts and can track bill wise outstanding. When the account ledger show overall transaction and final closing balance of that account not show bill wise outstanding.
So its totally depends on your requirements which option you should use.
From where to view pending entries of bill recievable from previous years in BUSY after carrying forward balances. Please advise.
You can view the pending entries of bill receivable form the below steps.
Step 1: Click on Display Menu
Step 2: Then Outstanding Analysis report
Step 3: Then Bills receivable
Step 4: Here select the required group and account for which you want to view the report with the last year datew range.
What reports in BUSY will show me aging information without requiring reference numbers to be entered?
To check ageing reports without bill references in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Display menu and click on Outstanding Analysis.
Step 2: You can select Ageing Receivables / Payables (FIFO Basis)
Step 3: You can select either Party wise or Party Group wise then enter the date and view the report.
I need help matching payments to invoices. Some invoices seem to be missing payments.
To match payments to invoices you can follow the steps
1 Go to display menu and click on Outstanding analysis
2 then click on on account entries
3 select all account and date range then ok
4 select each on account entries for payment and adjust it with proper invoice
reference number and save
Can you provide me with a list of accounts payable?
To check accounts payable, you can generate the Amount Payable in BUSY by using these steps:
Step 1: Go to Display menu then go to Outstanding Analysis.
Step 2: Select Amount Payable and can filter the report by All Accounts, Group of Accounts or Selected Groups.
Step 3: Enter the report date and can view the report.
The current date is not updating automatically in the aging reports. I have to manually enter it every time. Is there a way to auto populate the current date?
There is no way to automatically fill the current while opening ageing report date when opening an aging report. Default aging or any other report's pick, last voucher date automatically in ending date, but if you want the current date then you have to enter the current date manually while opening the report.
How can I view the monthly outstanding amounts and bill-wise outstanding amounts?
To view monthly outstanding amounts and bill-wise outstanding amounts in BUSY, you need to follow these steps :
Step 1 : Go to Display then Outstanding Reports
Step 2 : And select Bill Receivable. From there, you can view outstanding amounts for all accounts or a specific account, and filter by date range or bill-wise.
Some unknown on-account entries are showing up in BUSY that I did not create. Why are these entries appearing and how do I remove them?
If some entries are showing in the On Account Entries report then might be opening balance exist without references and you have not created / adjusted the bill references when you record it. To remove the entries from that report you need to create or adjust the bill references in the vouchers.
I am unable to find the specific bill date filter or parameter required in the outstanding reports. Where is this option located?
To get the specific bill date filter or parameter required you need to follow the steps
1 go to display menu and click on outstanding analysis
2 select bills receivable or payable which you want select account and select bill wise
combined then select the date range to see the report
