1. Check Physical Connections: Ensure that the barcode scanner is properly connected to the computer or device. Verify cables and connections to rule out any hardware issues.
2. Compatibility Mode: If you are using the software on a newer operating system, try running it in compatibility mode. Right-click on the software shortcut, go to Properties, and under the Compatibility tab, enable compatibility mode.
3. Configuration in BUSY Software: Check Pick Item names from barcode feature is enabled or not from POS configuration tab. Ensure that barcode exist with correct barcode number in BUSY. We can maintain barcode with multiple inventory feature as per your requirement. Features which are Serial No. wise details, Batch wise details, Parameter wise details and mention item code in alias also. These feature should be enable and configure as per required in company then can scan barcode process.

Why are barcode settings not reflecting in new bills in BUSY?

Step 3: Auto Generate Item Code
Step 4: Select Item Type either for all Items or Group of Items
Step 5: Overwrite option replace the existing alias from item master, we can select as per our requirement.
Multiple Item Aliases : We can add multiple alias for an item according to their different Price,Mrp,Unit,Qty.

Step 5: Enable the Maintain Multiple Item Alias
Step 6: Open the Item Master and specify the Multiple Alias
Step 7: Accordingly can select it during voucher entry.

How do I configure printers and scanners to work with BUSY?

 To configure printers and scanners to work with BUSY, follow these general steps:
1. Install the necessary drivers for the printer/scanner.
2. Ensure that the printer and scanner are properly connected to the USB port.
3. Check and confirm whether a test page is printing.
4. If it prints successfully, then proceed to the following steps.
5. Open BUSY.
6. Go to the "Administration" menu.
7. Select "Configuration."
8. Choose "Hardware Configuration."
9. Set the printer's name.
10. Assign left and top margins, and configure the shrink settings if required.
11. The scanner should have default settings and specify the Item-alias code to scan the product description in transactions.
12. To get the print command after transaction entry you can enable the settings [Voucher series configuration then Select the format name then voucher configuration here you can enable the " Print Sales Invoice after saving"

 If you're encountering an error while scanning a QR code in software, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1 : Ensure that the QR code you are scanning is valid and not damaged.
Step 2 :Ensure that the app you are using to scan the QR code has the necessary permissions to access the camera.
Step 3 ;If the software or app displays an error message, take note of it.
Step 4 : If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider contacting the support team or documentation for the software or app you are using. They may have specific guidance for resolving QR code scanning problems.

 Yes, the barcode format can be customized to fit the needs of a specific business or company in BUSY. If you want to know how to configure it, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to Add-On tab.
Step 2: Click on Item Bar-Code Printing then click on Configure Bar-code Labels.
Step 3: Click on Add Format then Configure Format and click on BUSY Data.
Step 4: Here, you need to specify the sheet type, paper type, label height & width, etc then click on Configure Label.
Step 5: Click on Add Control to add field and configure it as required then save.
Step 6: After configure format you can print barcodes from BUSY.
Note: This feature is available only in Standard & Enterprise edition of BUSY.

Troubleshooting issues with barcode scanning in BUSY for correct pricing information.

 Before troubleshooting, understand that there can be multiple reasons for a barcode-related error in a POS system. Begin by identifying the specific error message or issue you are encountering.
Step 1 :Ensure that the item details match the information on the barcode stickers.
Step 2 : Examine the item's barcode history and stock levels within your POS system. Make sure there are no discrepancies, such as missing stock or duplicated barcodes.
Step 3 : If the error persists, check the user control settings on your POS system. Ensure that the User Control Setting is configured to Never Notify to prevent unnecessary prompts during barcode scanning.
Step 4 : Review the configuration of the POS voucher series in your system.

Why is the QR code not visible on the generated invoice PDF? How can I fix this?

 You can add the IRN number and Acknowledged number to the sales invoice using the E-invoice QR code. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration menu and then click on Configuration.
Step 2: Select Invoice Document and Printing option and choose Sales Invoice option.
Step 3: On the left side, select Print E-Invoice QR Code, IRN,and Acknowledged Number.
Step 4: Preview the sales invoice in the standard format.

 To display the e-invoice QR code and IRN details on BUSY invoice prints, you can follow these steps: 
Step 1: Go to Administration.
Step 2: Click on Configuration.
Step 3: Select the Invoice/Document Printing option.
Step 4: Choose the Standard Format of the voucher.
Step 5: Enable the printing of the E-invoice QR Code and IRN/Acknowledged number and date.
Step 6: Save the changes successfully.
