How can I enable the serial number in single item group in BUSY?

To enable the serial number feature in single item group in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: Take the latest backup of your data.
Step 2: Go to administration section then click on Bulk updation menu
Step 3: Select Multiple item creation and modification then tick on modify existing master and select Name in key field.
Step 4: Click on select fields and Choose the required field along with item serial number then click on save.
Step 5: Now, Load the master and update the unit of item in window and save the details.

How can I merge two parties with the same name?

BUSY doesn't allow you to create two parties with the same. Further if you want to merge two parties, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Take the latest backup of data.
Step 2: Open your company then go to administration menu.
Step 3: Click on bulk updations then select merge masters and choose accounts.
Step 4: Select the source and target account and set Y on option available delete source account after merging data if you want to delete the source account.
Step 5: Click on ok to proceed and check after complete it.

Why am I getting errors while merging ledger accounts?

If you are getting some error message while merging two accounts in BUSY, then might be these possible reasons:
1. You are not in the begining financial year of company and have some opening balance in source account.
2. If the source account has pending opening order, qoutation and challan references and you wish to delete the source account then you will get an error.
3. If you have adjusted challan references of source account then you can not merge that invoice entry into target account and you will get an error.

How to merge duplicate parties created by mistake?

If you want to merge two accounts in BUSY, you can follow these steps: 
Step 1: Go to Administration menu and click on Bulk Updations.
Step 2: Select Merge Masters option and click on Accounts.
Step 3: Here you need to mention Source & Target Account.
Step 4: Then, set Y if you want to Delete Source Account After Merging Data
Step 5: Please note you cannot merge them if the source account has an opening balance in running financial year.
Note: Take latest backup of your data before make any changes.

How can i merge two masters in BUSY?

If you want to merge two masters in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to Administration menu.
Step 2: Click on Bulk Updations then click on Merge Masters.
Step 3: Select the master type such as Items or Accounts as required.
Step 4: Select the Source and Target master and if you wish to delete the source master then set Y on option available.
Step 5: Click on Ok to proceed and check after complete it.
Note: Take backup of your data before doing this process.

I need to update the units in bulk for multiple items. Is there a way to do this in BUSY?

To update the units in bulk for multiple items, you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration, then select Bulk Updations, then select Multiple Item Creation or Modification.
Step 2: then select modify exiting master, then click on select fileds, and select the unit filed in the selected field.
Step 3: then click on Load Master. After Load Master,  you can change the unit in bulk for all the items, then click on Save to save the details.
Step 4: Then it will update the unit in bulk.

How do I create a voucher template so that I can replicate vouchers quickly?

To create a voucher template for quick replication of vouchers in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to administration tab.
Step 2: Select bulk updations and click on set voucher as template.
Step 3: Select the voucher type such as sales, purchase, etc and click on show vouchers list.
Step 4: Enter the voucher series and date range then click on show list.
Step 5: Select the voucher of which you want to create template then press ok and mention the template name then save.

I want to update tax categories for multiple items based on their group name. How can I do this in bulk?

To update the tax category for multiple items based on their group name, then follow these steps:
Step 1: Take the latest backup of your data.
Step 2: Go to administration section then click on master menu
Step 3: Choose the bulk updation then select check/update item hsn/tax category
Step 4: Choose group in select item master range field and then specify item group in select item group name and press on Ok tab.
Step 5: Next, You can update the tax category and save the configuration.

Is it possible to add opening balance in bulk or do I have to add it manually?

Yes, it is possible to add opening balance to account in bulk,follow the steps mentioned below: :
Step 1: Go to administration then bulk updation
Step 2: Select multiple account creation modification
Step 3: Select modify existing voucher then key field as name
Step 4: Click on select field then select field for opening balance and Save the field
Step 5: Then load master and click on show list
Step 6: Select the masters and click ok
Step 7: Now mention the opening balance and save all master

How to solve a problem where an item has become separate and needs to be combined?

To solve the problem of an item becoming separate and needs to be combined in BUSY, you can merge both items by using these steps: 
Step 1: Open your company then go to Administration menu.
Step 2: Click on Bulk Updations then click on Merge Masters and select Items.
Step 3: Select the Source and Target Item and set Y on option available Delete Source Item After Merging Data.
Step 4: Click on Ok to proceed and check after complete it.
Note: Take backup of your data before doing this process.
