I want to switch from item-wise tax to multi-rate tax in BUSY invoices. How can this be done?
To change the tax calculation from item-wise to multi-rate tax in BUSY, here are the steps to do this:
Step 1: Transaction
Step 2: For the new bill, select the sale type as L/GST MultiRate or I/GST MultiRate.
Step 3: For an already saved invoice, open the transaction in modify mode.
Step 4: Then change the sale type to L/GST MultiRate or I/GST MultiRate.
Step 5: Press the F4 key to apply tax to the bill.
Step 6: Save it.
For more clarification about tax calculations in the bill, you can check the tax summary located in the left corner of the screen in BUSY.
Can I share the delivery challan with the customer after generating it in BUSY Accounting Software?
Yes, you can share the delivery challan with the customer after generating it in BUSY, please follow below steps:
Step 1: To print an Challan from BUSY you need to open the Challan and click on the Print button or press ALT+P. Then, you need to select your format and printer driver and click on print.
Step 2: To email an Challan from BUSY , you need to open the Challan and click on the Email button or press ALT+M. Then, you need to select your format and enter the email id of the recipient and click on send.
I want to keep an item in inventory without invoicing it yet. How can I do this in the software?
If you want to increase the quantity of an item without entering a purchase bill in BUSY, you can use inventory vouchers such as stock journal or material received from party voucher. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Step 1: Go to the Transaction menu.
Step 2: Click on Stock Journal and then Add. If you want to enter a material received from party voucher, you can do it on the same voucher and then click on Add.
Both options will have the same effect, and your inventory will increase only by passing this entry.
How do I record discounts given to customers in BUSY sales invoices? The discount amount is not getting reflected.
To add discounts in BUSY sales invoices, you can apply them at either the entire bill level or the item level. For entire bill-level discounts, add them to the ledger. For item-level discounts, select the item and apply the discount. Ensure that the 'Discount' option is enabled to enable item-level discounts. Follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Administration.
2. Go to Configuration.
3. Select Inventory.
4. Enable the Discount option and set it as Simple or Compound.
5. Proceed to Voucher Series Configuration.
6. Enable the Discount entry field for the Sales series.
7. Save the changes. Now, the Item-level discount entry is enabled
I added items but BUSY is only showing items, what's wrong?
If you added 10 items but showing only 3 items then please follow the
given steps
Step 1: Go to administration menu then configuration.
Step 2: Then select party wise item filter and remove the configured
setting from here.
Step 3: Then again go to administration menu then configuration
Step 4: Then voucher series configuration then select desired voucher
Step 5: Then select series then voucher configuration.
Step 6: Then select filter value for item dropdown and turn it to no.
Step 7: Then again select voucher series configuration then select
master controls then make sure apply control for item is disabled.
How to view item group wise item list in transaction entry?
To view the specific item group list in transactions, configure the steps given below:
1. Administration
2. Configuration
3. Voucher Series Configuration
4. Select the required voucher series configuration
5. Enable the setting 'Filter Value for Item
6. SpeciFinancial Year the Item group name
7. Save the configuration
8. Now, in transactions, you can see only that particular group's items in the dropdown
9. Similar settings can be done for parties as well
10. Another way is to press Ctrl+F and then speciFinancial Year the group name to filter the values
11. If you want to apply these settings at the bill level, use the Ctrl+F shortcut
What options are available for stock costing?
In BUSY Accounting software, the options available for stock costing include FIFO, LIFO, Weighted Average, and Standard Costing.Please Follow the Below Steps :
Step 1: Administration
Step 2: Configuration
Step 3: Features and options
Step 4: Inventory tab
Step 5: Select method for Stock Val. Method or can search the option throygh F3 shortcut key.
We have another option for maintain stock valuation according to the each item in Item Master.

The GST rate is not calculating properly in the invoice. What could be the reason, and how to resolve it?
If GST rate is not calculating properly in the invoice then please follow the given steps
Step 1: Please check the sale type or purchase type selected correct
Step 2: If selected inclusive and item wise sale type then please do enter once in each item to
to calculate the tax

The export sale to SEZ unit is clubbing with my domestic sale. How can I avoid this?
If your export sale to SEZ is clubbing with your domestic sale and you want to avoid it then
please follow the given steps
Step 1: Go to administration menu
Step 2: Then master then sale type then Add.
Step 3: Then give sale type name sez then look for option SEZ unit and select radio button
and then select required details and save the configuration.
Step 4: Then record sale transaction with this sale type to record as sez unit sale so that
export sale and sez sale could be differentiate.
Can I transfer stock from one location to another location and maintain stock accordingly in BUSY?
Yes, you can transfer stock from one location to another location and maintain stock accordingly in BUSY with the help of stock transfer voucher.
To add stock transfer voucher in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company and go to transaction tab.
Step 2: Select Stock Transfer voucher and click on add option.
Step 3: Select series, voucher date, voucher number then selecting the material center from which the stock is to be transferred to another material center of the company.
Step 4: Select the item details and save the voucher by click on save option.
