Find Solutions to Common Issues Related to configurations - master configuration
If you want to add a cash account with a cash-in-hand balance in BUSY, you can follow the steps
given below:
Step 1: Firstly, create a cash account in BUSY if it has not been created already. To create it, go to
the Administration menu.
Step 2: Then, click on Master and select the Account option. Choose the Add option, give a name
to the account, select the account group as cash in hand, and save the master.
Step 3: Now to enter the balances of cash, you can pass a journal entry. To enter it, go to the Transaction menu
and click on Journal. Select the Add option.
Step 4: Finally, debit the cash account with the amount and credit the account on behalf of which
the cash is being generated.
If you unable to locate a specific party or customer in the BUSY software using their mobile number, you need to follow these steps :
Step 1: Take backup of your company from company menu in backup data option
Step 2: Open company and Click on administration then configuration
Step 3: Open master configuration option select master type as account now in right side master dropdown list configuration
Step 4: Select number of addtional fields in dropdown as 2 and select in name of field mobile no select width as 10 and click on save button.
Step 5: On save it ask to run regenerate master help files do it as Yes press Ok key.
Step 6: Now in transaction you can search account with help of mobile number.
To add or modify product details and tax rates in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company, then go to the Administration tab and click on the Masters.
Step 2: Click on Add and enter all the necessary details such as Name, Group, Unit and mention tax rate in the Tax category field and save.
Step 3: Under Masters, select Item and then click on Modify.
Step 4: Select the item that you want to modify or change the tax rate for.
Step 5: Make the necessary changes and change tax rates in the Tax category field and save.
Please note to take latest Backup of your data before make any changes in your data.
If you are unable to modify the address shown on invoices, you can follow these steps to resolve it:
Step 1: Go to Administration.
Step 2: Click on Master.
Step 3: Select Account Master and open it.
Step 4: Enter the address and other details of the party master accordingly.
Step 5: If you are using the Advanced format and you have specified the address separately, you need to change it accordingly and ensure proper alignment.

Here are the steps need to check in the Items Receivable and Issuable Reports while using filters:
Step 1: Log into BUSY and Open the Company .
Step 2: Look for the Display Menu option.
Step 3: In the Display Menu, Items Receivable and Issuable Reports
Step 4: Once you are in the Items Receivable and Issuable Reports, you will see options to choose a Items Receivable and select the One party All items.
Step 5: Select correct party and specify the date range and open the report .
Step 6: Here you need to check the voucher entry and Look at the filters you've applied.
Step 7: Check that the filters are set up correctly to display the items from the selected party.
Yes, you can use the mobile number to search for party details during voucher entry in BUSY for that follow these steps :

Method 1:
Step 1: Take latest backup of your data.
Step 2; Then go in administration and select masters.
Step 3: Then click on item and open it in either through modify or through list option.
Step 4: Then specify the print name in given field as per your requirement.
Method 2:
Step 1: Go in administration and select bulk updations.
Step 2: Then select multiple item creation/modification.
Step 3: Then click on modify existing master and select the option of select fields.
Step 4: Select the field on item_print_name and go back.
Step 5: Then click on load masters.
Step 6: Select item as per requirement then mention the print name in given field.
Step 7: Save data and check.
To filter the material received report by party in BUSY, Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Log into BUSY and Open the Company .
Step 2: Look for the Display Menu option.
Step 3: In the Display Menu, Items Receivable and Issuable Reports
Step 4: Once you are in the Items Receivable and Issuable Reports report, you will see options to choose a Items Receivable and select option as per your requirement.

To enable cess and configure into items in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration menu then select configuration sub menu.
Step 2: Select features and options and click on gst or vat tab.
Step 3: Here, set Y on enable cess option then save.
Step 4: After that you need to create a new tax category by going to administration menu then select masters.
Step 5: Select tax category option then click on add and after opening it specify the name, type, tax rate for GST and set Y on specify cess rate then enter the rate with basis and save.
Step 6: Now, in item master you need to define the created tax category and can pass the transactions.
If you want to add New Customers in BUSY you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select the company you want to work with. Then, go to the Administration tab and click on Masters.
Step 2: Select Account and click on Add.
Step 3: On the account master page, enter the required details such as Name, Group, Address, GSTIN, etc
If you want to record the payments received from customers in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select the company you want to work with. Then, go to the Transactions menu.
Step 2: Select Receipt and click on Add, fill all the required details such as Date, Voucher No. , amount, etc and save the voucher.
