Find Solutions to Common Issues Related to configurations - user rights
To create and manage user access rights in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
Step 1. Open BUSY and log in as the admin user.
Step 2. Go to the "Administration" menu and select "User Management."
Step 3. Click on "Create User" to add a new user.
Step 4. Fill in the required details like username, password.
Step 5. Assign the appropriate access rights to the user by selecting the given option for the desired modules and features.
Step 6. You can also set specific permissions for each menu rights by clicking on the Rights side menu button.
Step 7. Save the changes and the new user will be created with the assigned access rights.
To manage user access rights for existing users, you can go to the Users => Modify section and select the user you want to modify. From there, you can edit their access rights, change passwords, or delete the user if needed.
The error occurs in BUSY when it attempts to access an external element in a built-in function, but the element is either unavailable or not properly installed.
If error message show Runtime Error ‘9’ Script out of range while viewing any report follow the below steps:
Step 1: Perform a reindexing from BUSY on the database to fix any potential corruption issues that might be causing the lock file error. To do this, go to the Company →Reindex Databases.
Step 2 : If the issue persists after Step 1, attempt the following: apply the 'db1' patch from housekeeping by going to 'Apply Data Patch,' type 'db1,' and then try to open the BUSY company again. This action may resolve the problem.
Step 3: If the issue continues to persist after Step 2, please proceed with the following action: rewrite the book and recheck. If the problem remains unresolved, kindly send the data to us at support@busy.in for further assistance.
To Add Users and set permission in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company with Super / Admin user.
Step 2: Go to the Administration tab.
Step 3: Select on Users option and click on the Add button.
Step 4: Type the User Name, Password and Recheck Password for the new user.
Step 5: Assign the rights and permissions for the new user according to your needs and preferences.
Step 6: Click on the Save button to create the new user.
To Remove / Delete User in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company with Super / Admin user.
Step 2: Go to the Administration tab.
Step 3: Select on Users option and click on the Modify button.
Step 4: Select the user that you want to remove / delete and after open user window click on delete button or press F8 to delete.
Please make sure to take backup of your data before deleting process.

There is a feature available in BUSY to speed up the billing process that is POS. POS is available in Standard and Enterprise models
This feature helps in fast billing only have to add item details and other information can be fixed as per your requirement
To enable this feature follow the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration and then configuration
Step 2: Click on Features and Options and then POS configuration then click on Enable Advanced POS data entry.
Step 3: Click on Save or Press F2
Step 4: Go to Voucher Series configurations and select the voucher type and in which want to enable and then select Series
Step 5: Click on voucher configurations and there Enable Advanced POS data entry, enable that option
Step 6: Click on Configure Standard POS options and then configured accordingly.
Step 7: Click on Save or Press F2

In BUSY if you want to restrict access to certain voucher series for specific users, you can use the voucher series group option. This option allows you to create a voucher series group and tag only the series that you want to show to your sub-users. To do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the Administration menu.
Step 2: Click on the Configuration option.
Step 3: Select Voucher Series Configuration, and then Voucher Series Group Option.
Step 4: Add a voucher series group by clicking on the "Add voucher series group" option.
Step 5: Tag only those series that you want to show to your sub-users.
Step 6: Open the User-ModiFinancial Year option under the Configuration menu and tag the voucher series group for that user.
Step 7: Whenever your sub-user logs in from their ID, they will only be able to work in the specified series, not all of them.
To attach your signature to your user in BUSY, you need to follow these steps :
Step 1 : Go to administration then configuration click on features and options
Step 2 : Now go to general and enable the Maintain image & signature with user option Then, define the user signature image path in the Configurations tab and save it. The signature image should be named the same as the user name in JPEG format.
Step 3 : Now in user it will show the user signatures, go to administration then user click on modify select user and see in below it show the user signature.
Step 4 : To ensure that it appears in the final output, go to administration then configuration click on Invoice and Document printing seleect standard and select voucher type and enable Print user signature and save the printing configuration.
To set up users and permissions for different access levels in BUSY, follow these steps:
1. Open BUSY and log in as the main user.
2. Go to the Administration menu and select User.
3. Click on the Add User button to create a new user.
4. Fill in the required details for the user, such as name, username, and password.
5. Assign the appropriate access level to the user, such as Administrator,Manager,or User.
6. Specify the permissions for the user by selecting the modules and features they can access.
7. Save the user profile and repeat the process for other users if needed.
Note: The main user has full access and can create, edit, and delete users. Sub-users have restricted access based on the permissions assigned to them by the main user.
