To fix the "Proceed without backup" error during BUSY open, you can try the following Steps:
Step 1 : Close the BUSY completely.
Step 2 : Locate the folder where your company data is stored.
Step 3 : Make sure you have a backup of your company data in a safe location.
Step 4 : Delete the existing backup files in the BUSY folder.
Step 5 : Open the BUSY again.
Step 6 : When prompted with the error message, select the option to proceed without backup.
Step 7 : The software should open without any further issues.
Please note that it is always recommended to have a backup of your company data before proceeding without backup.

How do I take a backup before upgrading to the newest version?

To take backup of your data from BUSY, before upgrading your software, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select Backup Data option from Company tab.
Step 2: Choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
Step 5: You can also copy your whole data folder from the drive and keep it in your safe place.

What backup facilities are available and how often should I use them?

There are three ways to backup your BUSY data and protect it from potential loss. They are:
Backup Data: This is a manual backup option under the Company tab that allows you to backup your company data whenever you need.
BUSY Agent: This is an application provided by BUSY that enables you to backup your entire data automatically at your scheduled time. It saves your backup on Local Drive and Google Drive
Copy Data Folder: You can copy your data folder from where your data is stored and keep it on your preferred location, such as a Pendrive, External Hardisk, etc.
It is recommended to take backup regularly to prevent data loss.

Is it possible to continue without taking a backup in BUSY?

It is possible to continue without taking a backup in BUSY Accounting software, but it is not recommended as it can lead to data loss in case of any system failure or error. It is always advisable to take regular backups to ensure the safety of your data.
To take backup of your data in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY then click on Backup Data under the Company menu.
Step 2: Select the company of which you want to take backup and enter the login credentials.
Step 3: Select the backup path and you can select All financial year or single financial as required then proceed.

I want to check historical transaction details in BUSY. How far back are records available and what is the process to retrieve older data?

If you have multiple financial years in a single company then you can check previous year data by switching financial year by F11 then check previous year data accordingly. 
To retrieve older data in BUSY software, please follow the below steps for the data restore process:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select the Restore Data option from Company tab.
Step 2: Choose the folder that contains backup files and click on the OK button to start the restoring process.
Step 3: If the same data already exists then BUSY will provide you an option to overwrite it. You can choose Yes/No as required.

I want to take a full backup of my company data. What is the process to do this?

To take a full backup of your company data, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1. Close the company in BUSY if aleady open.
Step 2. Go to the "Backup Data" option in the company menu.
Step 3. Select the company for which you want to take the backup.
Step 4. Enter your username and password.
Step 5. Choose the backup destination, such as a local drive and path where you required keep the backup.
Step 6. Start the backup process and wait for it to complete.
Please note that the backup process may take some time depending on the size of your data.

Why is the software backup incomplete despite showing completion? How to troubleshoot backup problems?

The software backup may appear to be complete but actually be incomplete due to various reasons such as interruptions during the backup process or errors in the software. To troubleshoot backup problems, you can try the following Steps:
Step 1 : Check for any error messages or notifications during the backup process.
Step 2 : Ensure that there is enough storage space available for the backup.
Step 3 : Verify that the backup settings are configured correctly.
Step 4 : Restart the software and try taking the backup again.

I am unable to find the backup file in BUSY. Where is it located?

You can find your backup files by following below steps:
Step 1: By default while taking manual backup from backup option BUSY will take C:/Users/Admin/Desktop Path so you can check there.
Step 2: Further the backup file will be named as data.bkp and disk1.db so you can search the backup by file names also.
Step 3: If you had already specified backup configuration in company so you can check the backup directory.
Step 4: For this you have to go to Administration then configuration and click on backup configuration.
Step 5: In Addition if had configured BUSY agent so you can check the back up directory there.

How to restore/import old data after reinstalling BUSY?

To take a restore of data
Step 1 : Open the BUSY on your computer.
Step 2 :In the BUSY software, look for the option to backup data.This is usually found in the Company menu often labeled as Restored Data .
Step 3 : In the Restored data window, you have two options
:Option 1: Copy and Paste the Path (Folder Location) If you know the exact path to the folder where your backup files are stored, simply copy the path.
Please note that this backup includes the stock reports, auditing information, stock take details, and the data related to Stock and Closing Stock and other allover data backup .

How do I take a backup and restore BUSY data?

To take a backup [Manual] of your BUSY data you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY Software
Step 2: Backup data
Step 3: Select Company
Step 4: Login with credential
Step 5: Choose the location where you want to save the backup file.
Step 6: Select the financial year to take backup [e.g. All, Fy 2022-23, 2023-24 etc]
Step 7: OK
To restore the previously taken backup in BUSY you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY Software
Step 2: Restore data
Step 3: Choose the backup file you want to restore
Step 4: OK
