What steps should I take before resetting settings to avoid data loss?

Before making any changes in configuration of BUSY, we recommend to take backup of your data to avoid data loss. To take backup follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select Backup Data option from Company tab.
Step 2: choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.

How can i take backup of my single financial year in BUSY?

To take backup of single financial year in BUSY then follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY Software and go to company menu
Step 2: Then click on backup data option and then select particular company and specify user name and password if required
Step 3: Now specify path where you want to take backup by browsing there and then select target financial year as per your requirement
Step 4: Then click on Ok and it will take few minutes to take backup and after completing the process a confirmation message will appear on the screen.

Yes, you can automate data backup in BUSY installing BUSY Agent app in your system.
Here are the steps below to update your BUSY in latest release:
Step 1: Open your existing BUSY.
Step 2: Then in Company menu click on check BUSY update option.
Step 3: Then click on download updates option.
Step 4: You will get two setup for update i.e. Product Update and Statutory update.
Step 5: Install both setups one by one in the same drive in which your existing BUSY installed.
Then your BUSY release will be updated.

I took a backup but still see incorrect or unused masters. How do I restore my data from backup correctly?

There are steps you can take to potentially recover your lost data. Here's what you can do:
Step 1 : Open the BUSY on your computer.
Step 2 :In the BUSY software, look for the option to restore data.This is usually found in the Company menu often labeled as Restore Data .
Step 3 : In the restore data window, you have two options
:Option 1: Copy and Paste the Path (Folder Location) If you know the exact path to the folder where your backup files are stored, simply copy the path.

I need to take a complete backup of all financial years in BUSY. What is the procedure for this?

To take the complete backup of all financial year in BUSY you need to follow the 
steps
Step1 Open BUSY click on backup data and select the company
Step2 fill the username and password and select the backup path
need to ensure that the backup path you select is exist or got the permission
Step3 you can also create a new folder for backup and then set the path of it
Step4 after selecting backup path select financial year as all FY and click on ok

How can I check if my data and invoices are backed up properly before reformatting my system in BUSY?

If you have a pendrive, please provide its path,so that you can take a backup on This way, after formatting the system, you can restore the backup by connecting the pendrive.
If you wants to take backup before format your system,you can follow given steps:
Step 1:Open the BUSY Software,
Step 2:In the list,you can see the option is Backup Data,click on it.
Step 3:Select Company,and please provide the pendrive path to take the backup.
Step 4:Then,Click ok to take backup,the backup will be successfully done.
Now you can format your system.

How do I take a backup of data before updating HSN codes in BUSY?

To take a backup of data before updating HSN codes in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the BUSY.
Step 2: Go to backup data option and then select the company for which you want to take backup.
Step 3: Then specify the path for backup and make sure to select the all F.Y.
Step 4: Then click on ok button to start the backup process.

Unable to backup in BUSY v Zip file issue. Resolve?

When unable to take backup in the BUSY 21 version, Pls Follow the Below Steps :
Step 1: Make sure that the backup folder should have everyone rights.
Step 2: If still issue presists, Then change the backup folder path and check
Step 3: If still issue presists, Then after backup do the reindex database from Houskeeping Menu.
When we take the BUSY backup then two files will get create of your database either access and sql database. To put it in zip ,we need to manually zip the backup folder.
