If you have restored an old data backup but it is not overwriting your current data, you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: Close the company, select the restore data backup, put the restore data path, click OK, and proceed with data restoration as Yes , 
Step 2: then you have to get the option that the data for the company already exists. Shall I overwrite it? Then click on the Yes option to overwrite the data.

To restore the previous backup from BUSY agent, follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on Company menu and then select Restore Data.
Step 2: Specify the backup data path from the folder configured for local backup in BUSY Agent.
Step 3: Afterward, press on ok tab to procced.
Note- If you want to restore the backup from Google Drive, you need to download the backup file from Google Drive and then restore the data in BUSY by following the above process.

To take a backup of data in BUSY before making any changes,
Step 1: Open BUSY Software
Step 2: Backup data
Step 3: Select Company 
Step 4: Login with credential 
Step 5: Choose the location where you want to save the backup file.
Step 6: Select the financial year to take backup [e.g. All, Fy 2022-23, 2023-24 etc]
Step 7: OK
Please note that BUSY can also provide an automatic backup utility called BUSY Agent, which can save data automatically to Google Drive.

You can take the data backup from the Below Steps :
 Step 1: Click on Company Menu
 Step 2: Then Backup Data
 Step 3: Select the company for which you want to take the backup
 Step 4: Then Mention the company Username and Password 
 Step 5: Select the Financial Year for which you want to take the data backup for particular financial year or for all financial year.
 Step 6: Then specify the backup folder path.

If BUSY crashed and forced closed, you can try the following steps to recover your data and troubleshoot the issue: 
 1: Copy the data from main data directory where the BUSY data exist. 
 2: Even backup can be generated through BUSY Agent. 
 3: Set compatibility and gives everyone rights. 
 4: Exclude BUSY application from Antivirus. 
 5: Restart your system. 
 6: If the same issue comes, then you can re-install BUSY application.

To ensure that your data is securely backed up in BUSY, you can use the built-in backup feature provided by the software. This feature allows you to create regular backups of your data and store them in a secure location, such as an external hard drive or cloud storage. By regularly backing up your data, you can protect it from loss or damage and have a reliable copy to restore from in case of any unforeseen events.

To take backup of BUSY from server system you need to go the server system and follow the below steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY then click on the Backup Data option.
Step 2: Select the company of which you want to take backup and enter the username and password (If Required).
Step 3: Specify the location where you want to save backup and can choose either All Financial year of Single financial year.
Step 4: Press Ok to start the process.

You can take the data backup from the Below Steps :
 Step 1: Click on Company Menu
 Step 2: Then Backup Data
 Step 3: Select the company for which you want to take the backup
 Step 4: Then Mention the company Username and Password 
 Step 5: Select the Financial Year for which you want to take the data backup for particular financial year or for all financial year.
 Step 6: Then specify the backup folder path.

You can share the backup files with your Accountant/CA . Please Follow the below steps :
Step 1: Go to the company menu
Step 2: And then select Backup Data option 
Step 3: Select the company for data backup and mention the Super user name and Password to take backup
Step 4: Then Select Financial Year and specify the backup folder path.
Step 5: Copy the backup data folder into pendrive to share the backup file on the mail via wetransfer.com

Here are simple steps mentioned below to take backup of all companies before updating the software:
 Step 1: Install BUSY agent in your system
 Step 2:Then Configure General Configuratiion in which you have to specify the database and data directory or SQL Server Information depending upon the database type.
 Step 3: Then Configure Backup Configuration and specify backup path.
 Step 4: Then click on backup now option your all companies will be backup within few minutes.
