Yes, You can transferred Your data from a Laptop to a Desktop in BUSY. For this, you need to take a backup of your data from the Laptop then restore the data in Desktop.
I restored a backup in BUSY but I still don't see the correct units/items. What should I do?
You should check if the backup was taken before the incorrect units/items were entered. If the backup was taken after the incorrect units/items were entered, then the backup will not have the correct units/items.
I did not maintain a backup before updating. Can I still update without backup?
No, it is not recommended to update without a backup. It is important to maintain a backup before updating to ensure the safety of your data. So, that any changes can restore old backup
How can I check if my data was backed up properly before uninstalling BUSY?
To ensure that your data is backed up properly before uninstalling the BUSY software, Check that there are no errors in the backup process and that two backup files are created: DATA and DISK1.
How can I access my data if I use BUSY at another system?
To access data you need to copy your data from old system and paste in new system and then in company menu go
to the set data directory option and set the data path.
Should I take a backup before changing the location of the backup folder?
No, we do not recommend to take backup when you change the backup folder in BUSY under the Backup Configuration or in BUSY Agent. Further if you wish to take backup then you can.
What is the process of taking backup before making changes to inventory?
We suggest you take backup first while processing any process. Please follow below mention steps to take backup:-

I want to send my company data folder to someone. But when I do so, log files also get included which I don't want to share. How can I exclude log files when sharing data folders in BUSY?
If you want to share your BUSY data to someone, simply Take backup manually for Specific Company and in specific folder.
And Copy that backup folder or attached in email to share.
