How to troubleshoot data path and file issues in BUSY?
In BUSY, The data path should be correct otherwise the companies will not show in the list.
Pls Follow the Below Steps :
Step 1: Ensure that the data path should be till data folder in set data directory option under company menu.
Step 2: In the Company Folder, There should be all the company files with bds file.
Step 3: if still issue presists, Then change the data location as sometimes by changing the data location issue get resolved.
What should i do If i am unable to open a particular company even it is exist in the data directory?
If you are unable to open a particular company even it is exist in the data directory follow below steps:
Step1: Firstly you need to take backup of the data
Step2: Then chek data directory from set data directory option in BUSY and go to that directory
Step3: After that create new folder with the name of COMP and paste financial year file with the DB file in the new folder
Step4: Now reopen BUSY and check the company in the list of company
Even after successful backup, why can't I access data in BUSY?
If you are unable to access your data in BUSY, you can try these steps:
Step 1: Ensure that you are entering the correct username & password to open the company.
Step 2: If showing any RTE ( Run time error) then please tell us more about the error message.

company not showing up in the list, what should I do?
If Compies not showing in List, you need to check the below reasons:
For access the database:
Compies not showing because you have not set the data directory properly, your data doesn't have the company folder, you have opened the company multiple times in single user mode, you have not created the company, or you have not restored data.
For the SQL database:
NO data found error coming because you have not created company, in SQL mode data not attached or not restored data.
Compies not showing in List what to do?
If Compies not showing in List, you need to check the below reasons:
For access the database:
Compies not showing because you have not set the data directory properly, your data doesn't have the company folder, you have opened the company multiple times in single user mode, you have not created the company, or you have not restored data.
For the SQL database:
NO data found error coming because you have not created company, in SQL mode data not attached or not restored data.
Why my company is not showing in company list?
If the Company is not showing in company list in BUSY then check the following steps:
Step 1: Re check the data directory of BUSY data.
Step 2: Company folder should exist in data location if not then you can restore your data
Step 3: Ensure that missing company is not open in backend on another BUSY instance.
Step 4: Open the task manager of your system and close the BUSY application if opened.
Step 5: Check by restart the system.
Why are the company details not opening in BUSY even though they show in the data?
It is possible that the data path is not correctly defined in BUSY, which is why the company details are not opening even though they show in the data.If data path is correct then you can restart your system.If issue persist then change your Data location and set path in BUSY.If still issue persist then you need to replace db file from any old backup in latest backup after copy data folder in another location.
What should I do if I am unable to open a company after upgrading Windows?
If you are unable to open a company after upgrading windows in BUSY Accounting Software, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Try running BUSY Accounting Software as an administrator and compatibility mode.
2. Reinstalling BUSY Accounting Software. Make sure to download and install the latest version of the software.
3. If still issue persist then If you have a backup of your company data, you can try restoring it.
Why is the password showing as invalid in one system but working in another system in BUSY?
If you are experiencing an issue where your password works on one system but not on another,
follow the steps below to correct it:
Step 1: Ensure that the password you are entering is correct.
Step 2: Open the Control Panel and then navigate to the "Region" settings.
Click on the "Administrative" tab and select the "Change system locale" option.
Step 3: Untick the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" option and restart
the system.
How can I troubleshoot the issue if a company is not showing in the list?
If the company not showing in the list, you can check possible aspects:
1. Ensure the data path should be entered correctly in data directory.
2. If have single user Licence and company are already open in system then the same company not showing again in List.
3. If still issue then may be db file is corrupted and you may need to share the data with our support team for further investigation.
