Find Solutions to Common Issues Related to data-specific - data lost corruption
If the Audit Trail feature is enabled in your company, then you can review changes made by using these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSYand select the company you want to work with. Then, go to the Display tab and click on Check List.
Step 2: Select Audit Trail, then you can select the Details to be shown such as Accounts Day Book, Inventory Day Book, Payroll Day Book, Other Vouchers and List of Master. This will determine the type of transactions and masters that you want to see in the report.
Step 3: Select the User from the drop-down list. You can choose between All Users or a Specific User. This will filter the report by the user who made the changes in BUSY.
Step 4: Select the Entries to be Shown from the drop-down list. You can choose between Added, Modified, Deleted, and Other Info. This will filter the report by the action that was performed on the transactions or masters in BUSY.
Step 5: Enter the Date Range for which you want to see the report.
If you can recover the lost according data from the below steps.
Step 1: When some entries are lost then you can enter it manually in the BUSY after the data backup.
Step 2: If you have data backup of the company from which the entries has lost then you can restore it that data.
Pls follow the below steps for data restore from For Backup Files :
Step 1: Click on Company Menu
Step 2: Then Restore data
Step 3: Specify the backup folder path in which have backup files of the data and restore it with Overwrite NO. Overwrite option will only show if we have data in BUSY with the same company. After overwrite new company will get create instead of overwriting the existing company.
Pls follow the below steps for data restore from For Comp Files :
Step 1: Click on Company Menu
Step 2: Then Set Data Directory
Step 3: Specify the Data folder path - Here select the data path till data folder name only not the company code.
If you are unable to find the complete data in BUSY then you must check below points :
1. Check that you have entered the vouchers in this particular company or in any other company.
2. Check the voucher statistic through data chelist report available in Display menu so that you can have the idea of the number of vouchers available as per month wise.
3. Check the specific report such as sales and purchase related if any filter has been applied or not
4. Make sure you are checking the report with super user or if checking with sub user then relevant rights must be alloted.
5. Check incomplete vouchers list through housekeeping menu as sometime due to issues with database or due to corruption some vouchers move to the Incomplete voucher list
6. You can also find the deleted vouchers details through Audit trail under check list.
7. If you still unable to find our the complete data then you require to analyze with the backup of the data.
If BUSY crashes frequently, and some vouchers have been lost, it may be due to a systemic issue or data corruption. Furthermore, you can restore the old backup before the data loss. It is recommended to take backups regularly to secure the data.
Please check the possible aspects to resolve the above issue:
Step 1: Disable antivirus or exclude BUSY from antivirus properties.
Step 2: Right click on the program icon and select Properties from the drop down menu.
Step 3: Select the Compatibility tab. Under Compatibility mode, check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode then select Apply and OK.
Step 4: Drag UAC user account control down from window search option.
Step 5: Then set correct date, time and region, locale as united kingdom from control panel.
Step 6: Restart system in order to see the effect of change.
Step 7: If still faces the same problem then check by updating the software to the latest release.
In BUSY, When we have data backup then can restore it. If there is no backup in the Local Drive, Google Drive ,External Drive and ever has been send on email then only we can retrieve the data.

For Backup Files :

Solution 1: After backup go in House-keeping section.
: Then check incomplete voucher as it might be save in incomplete voucher.
: Then go in display section.
: Click on check list option.
: Select voucher numbering report and check missing voucher, cancel voucher, blank voucher,as it might be save in it.
Solution 2: In Enterprise model.
: There's an option of voucher approval.
: If in voucher approval configuration for 'Post unapproved vouchers' is set to 'No' by a super user, then no user will be able to access or view generated vouchers until they have been approved.
:As this configuration enforces the requirement for voucher approval, ensuring that all vouchers must be reviewed and authorized before they are considered valid.

Restore Data: To restore data in BUSYfollow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSYand select Restore Data option from Company tab.
Step 2: Choose the folder that contains backup files and click on OK button to start the restoring process.
Step 3: If same data already exist in then BUSY will provide you an option to override it. You can chosse Yes/No as required.
