How to maintain the serial number feature in BUSY?

You can maintain the serial number for an item either automatic or manual in BUSY. For enabling the serial number feature please follow the below steps.
Step 1: Go to Administration tab and click on configuration
Step 2: Select features and options then go to inventory tab,you have to enable the serial number wise details feature and click on save button.
Step 3: Click on administration and then masters,now select the Item master tab and click on modify, select your relevant master in which you want to use serial number feature and now simply enable the serial number wise feature from the right centre option.
Step 4: While saving the item you will get a window serial wise details, thee you have to select the mode of serial number either it is manual or automatic.
Step 5: If you select the Automatic numbering then you need to create the structure. According to the structure,The serial number will get autogenerate during voucher entry after that save item master by clicking on save button.
Step 6: While making a purchase transaction, it will ask for serial number after putting the item's quantity. in the serial number window mention your serial number as per number of quantities.
Step 7: For checking the report, click on display then serial wise details option.from here you can view the report serial wise stock details as per the date range selected by you.
