What are the steps to connect the client server to the main BUSY system?

To connect the client server to the main server of BUSY, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Make sure to connect both computers to the same network using LAN or WIFI.
Step 2: On the server computer, share your data folder on the network. You can find your data folder in the Set Data Directory option under the Company menu.
Step 3: On the client computer, open BUSY and go to the Set Data Directory option.
Step 4: Here, you have to set the data path to the shared folder on the network. You can browse and select the shared folder from the network locations.
Step 5: Reopen BUSY on both computers and can use BUSY on both computers with real-time data synchronization.

Client start in demo mode

If your client system is running in demo mode then please
follow the given steps
If you are using access database then please follow below steps
Step 1: Make sure your BUSY is running in the server system.
Step 2: Then make sure you are running same data path as it is in
server system.
Step 3: Make sure server data path is accessible in the client
system.
Further If you are using SQL database then please follow below
steps
Step 1: Make sure you have entered correct server information
Step 2: Make sure dongle server or BUSY agent is running in your
server system.
Step 3: Make sure BUSY is allowed in firewall.
Step 4: Make sure you have configured the TCP IP properly.

Sql server does not exist while opening company

This issue occurs when SQl servers are not properly running. Therefore, we need to check the configuration mentioned is correctly configured and mentioned the same in the BUSY.
If Sql server does not exist while opening company follow the below steps:
Step 1: Open Management studio in admin mode & try to login by using the credentials as mentioned in server information.
Step 2: Run Configure Manager in admin mode and go to SQL Server network configuration
Step 3: Select protocol for SQL server and enable name & TCP/Ip
Step4 : Enable IP4 and mention default SQL port 1433 in IP4 and IP all.
Step5 : Restart the services.
NOTE : All steps should be done after taking backup of the data

When I open my company file, it says it is in demo mode. How do I get it out of demo mode?

If the BUSY is running on demo mode then check the belows possible aspects:
1. Check License File: Verify the presence of the license file in the BUSYWin folder.
2. BLS Expiry: If the BLS has expired and you have update the BUSY release then the BUSY will run on demo mode.
3. Softlock License Validation: Confirm that the softlock license file has been validated. If not, then validate the softlock license from License management option under company menu head.
4. Check BUSY Model: Ensure that correct BUSY model has been selected.
5. Dongle Connection: If a dongle is used, check whether it is properly connected. A disconnected or malfunctioning dongle can lead to demo mode issues.

What should I do to resolve the issue of the dongle license server not being detected in BUSY?

If your dongle license is not detecting in BUSY, you can try these troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Make sure the dongle is properly connected.
Step 2: Ensure that the BUSY model is correct according to the dongle. You can change it from the Check BUSY Model under the company menu.
Step 3: Check after insert the dongle in other USB port.

I have purchased a BUSY license and dongle but cannot access the software. What should I do?

If you are facing issues with accessing your BUSY license even after inserting the dongle, you can try the following steps:
Step 1: Make sure you have installed the latest version of BUSY.
Step 2: Check your license validaty.
Step 3: Try re-inserting your dongle in a different USB port or on a different system and see if it works.
Step 4: Make sure you have selected the correct BUSY model as per your license.

Client system is running in demo mode (Access Database)


In case of access data & security is found from the main server to the client system. Therefore, it is mandatory to open BUSY at the server first and then in the client system.
If Client system is running in demo mode (Access Database) follow the below steps:
Step 1 : Verify Serial Number from UMS.
Step 2: Select the Same Model in both the systems.
Step 3: Specify the direct data path in the server and share the data folder (in network) for the client system.
Step 4 :Reopen the BUSY at the client system.
Step 5: Incase same issue occurs, ping LAN IP and sync centre should be disabled.

My Server system BUSY show demo mode in case of Access Mode

Step 1: Must be check Model in BUSY software
Step 2: Go to licence management > Revalidate softlock
In case Hard Disk mismatch:
Step 1: Go to Licence management
Step 2: Go to Get softlock Licence

Step 3: Surrender Softlock Licence file (Ask Would you like to continue with Surrender ?)

If you want add another system on networ, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Download & Install BUSY on new system.
Step 2: Connect both computers to the same network using LAN or WIFI.
Step 4: On the client computer, open BUSY and go to the Set Data Directory option. Here, you have to set the data path to the shared folder on the network. You can browse and select the shared folder from the network locations.
Step 5: Reopen BUSY on both computers and can use BUSY on both computers with real-time data synchronization.
