Discrepancy in reports in BUSY. What to check?
If the discrepancy in the reports appears, follow these steps:
Step 1: Check the date range of the reports, or alternatively, check the dates of the invoices.
Step 2: Verify the accounts you have used in the invoices.
Step 3: Review the tagging of accounts; if you've tagged them differently, they may not reflect correctly.
Step 4: Verify the tax type selected in the voucher. The tax amount should be calculated according to the invoice.
Step 5: Double-check the data entry for accuracy and make any necessary corrections.
Step 6: Look for any discrepancies or errors in the account statements and reconcile them.
Is it possible to add custom columns to reports related to parties or vouchers in BUSY?
Yes, it is possible to add custom columns to reports related to parties or vouchers in BUSY.
To add custom column in report, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Report in which you want to add custom column.
Step 2: Click on the Custom Column option located on the right side of the top screen, then specify the Format Name.
Step 3: Click on add new column then mention heading, position and data type.
Step 4: Select category such as Inventory Vouchers(Header), Inventory Vouchers(Body), Account and Item etc. as per required then click on field tab.
Step 5: Choose field name as per required then save the format.
Step 6: Reopen the report with created format.
Can we check party ledger reports in the current financial year with previous year data?
In case of ‘Multiple financial years’ in your company, you can generate report for multi-years by specifying different years in starting and ending date. You can also view last year vouchers on enter of the multi-year report.
To check party ledger reports in the current financial year with previous year data follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to Display > Account Book > Account ledger > Account- wise > Select the party master
Step 2: Select Date range of Previous financial year , will display report as per Date mentioned.
Remark - You can only view the last year voucher on enter , no modification will allow for the same .
How do I export reports like sales register, purchase register, from BUSY to Excel?
To export your Sales Register and Purchase Register from BUSY to excel, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the Display menu and click on Account Books.
Step 2: Select Account Registers(Standard) and Choose Sales Register and Purchase Register.
Step 3: You can filter the report by One Party, ALL Parties, Group of Parties & Selected Parties.
Step 4: Enter the date range that you want to filter the report by and can view the report.
Step 5: To export that report to excel use the Export option or press ALT+E
Step 6: Choose Data format as Microsoft Excel and specify the path and proceed.
What is the Advance column in BUSY Accounting Software and how is it used?

Re-indexdatabase may be required when the database becomes slow or when there are issues with data retrieval. Re-indexing helps to optimize the database and improve performance.
To Reindex the database follow the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Go to Housekeepinh Menu
Step 2: Click on Reindex datatbase
Step 3: Click on You can proceed as taken data backup
Step 4: Click on OK
To Reindex database of all financial year follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY
Step 2: Click on re-index database
Step 3: Select the company of which you want to re-index
Step 4: Click on OK
Note: It it mandatory to take data backup before run the Re-index database
Can I add a new column to the sale register to display party address in BUSY Accounting Software?
Yes, you can add a new column to the sale register to display party address in BUSY Accounting Software, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to display section then click on Account Book.
Step 2: Choose the Account Register (Standard) then click on sales register.
Step 3: Select sales type, party, specify date range and open the report.
Step 4: Click on custom column then specify Format Name.
Step 5: Click on add new column then mention heading, position and data type.
Step 6: Select Inventory Vouchers(Header) in category then click on field.
Step 7: Then click on Party and choose Add(4_Line)_Line1 , Line2 as required then save the format.
Step 8: Reopen the report with created format.
What data do the various registers like sales register, inventory register, etc. in BUSY contain?
The registers in BUSY are reports that show the details of various transactions and activities in your business. Some of the common registers are:
1. Sales Register: This register shows the details of all the sales invoices generated in a given period. You can see the invoice number, date, party name, amount, tax, discount, etc. for each invoice.
2. Inventory Register: This register shows the details of all the inventory movements in a given period. You can see the item name, opening stock, inward quantity, outward quantity, closing stock, rate, value, etc. for each item.
There are many other registers in BUSY that you can explore.
I need some reports in date and partywise; what should I do for this?
If you need some reports in date and partywise, you need to check the below reports:
Step 1: Go to display, then select Account Books, then select Account Registers (standard), then select Sales Register, and select all sales types.
Step 2: then select all parties, then select the date range and relevant information, then press F2 or OK to load the report.
Step 3: After loading the report, you can summarise the date and time to view the party- and date-wise report.
Step 4: Also, you can summarise on another report if the date and party columns are re-defined on that report, and you can also add them by custom column.
How do I export all my purchase and sales details from BUSY to excel?
