Why can't I see a particular customer's purchase history in BUSY?

If you are unable to view the purchase history of a customer in BUSY, it could be due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. The customer has not made any purchases in the past, so there is no history to display.
2. The customer’s purchases were not recorded in the software due to human error.
3. You have opened a report that only shows transactions with a specific voucher series and material center, which did not use in the customer's transactions.
4. You have applied a filter or search criteria that excludes the customer’s purchase history, such as date range, amount, product, etc.

How do I generate a purchase register party-wise in BUSY?

generate a purchase register party-wise in BUSY following these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select the company you want to work with. Then, go to the Display tab on the top menu bar.
Step 2: Under the Display tab, select Account Books and then click on Account Registers (Standard). This will open a list of different reports that you can choose from, such as sales register, purchase register, etc.
Step 3: To view the inventory status of your items, go back to the Display tab and select Stock Status. This will show you the current stock position of your items along with their rates and values.

From where , we configure the Account register(Columnar).

To configure the Account register(Columnar) follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration > Configuration > Columnar report > Account register > Select the Register (like sales register, purchase register , sale return register , purchase return register etc. )
Step 2: Click on ADD FORMAT to add the document format , the format name will appear just below the selected register.
Step 3: After selecting the format , we can configure the header, body and footer of the report .
Step 4: Go to Display >Account book >Account register (Columnar ) >Select register (like sales register, purchase register , sale return register , purchase return register etc. ).

How do I send messages to multiple parties/ledgers at once?

Follow below steps to send messages to multiple parties/ledgers at once by following below steps:
Step 1: Go in Print/email/sms/ option.
Step 2: Then select account books.
Step 3: Then click on account ledger.
Step 4: Then select account wise and for ledger printing select standard format.
Step 5: Then select ledger printing for as one , group , all or selected.
Step 6: Then select desired period and click on SMS then it will send link to the party indiviually on whatsapp in which master you have mention the contact number.
Note; Ensure you have configured the SMS API configuration in BUSY and desktop version whatsapp must be install in your system.

How can I filter or summarize the ledger entries by debit amount or credit amount

You can easily filter or summarize the ledger enteries by following these steps:
Step 1: Click on the Filter button or press F7 on your keyboard. This will open the Filter screen.
Step 2: Select Field from the dropdown list of Filter on Field on which you want to apply filter.
Step 3: You can also apply Single Filter or Multiple Filter.
Step 4: Click on the Summary button or press F5 on your keyboard. This will open the Summary screen.
Step 5: Select field from the dropdown list of Summarize on on which you want to apply summarize.
Step 6: You can also summarize on Single Level or Double Level.

The debit notes and credit notes are not getting deducted from my total purchase amount. How can I ensure they are deducted properly?

If the debit notes and credit notes are not getting deducted from your total purchase amount, then you need to check the below steps:
Step 1: First, you need to check in which ledger account your debit and credit note amount is reflected to ensure the deduction is properly made.
Step 2: If your debit and credit note account ledgers are tagged with a purchase account, then it will deduct from your purchase amount.
Step 3: So please make sure this is done to ensure they are deducted properly; if it is not, then you need to check the tagged account in which they are refelecting.

The accounts balances are showing differently after I updated to the new version of BUSY, What should I do?

If you notice any discrepancy in your accounts in BUSY after updating to the latest version, you can try these steps to fix it:
Make sure to take backup of your data before make any changes.
Step 1: Restore a backup that you took before updating.
Step 2: Compare the both data and identify which account has the issue.
Step 3: Correct any errors that you find in the entries.
Step 4: Run Update Master Balance from the Housekeeping menu and check again.

I want to find the voucher number for a credit note issued earlier. How can I retrieve it from the software?

In BUSY credit note voucher are of two types,one as sales return with item and other credit note without item.To find voucher number follow these steps
Step 1 Open your company and go to transactions
Step 2 Select sales return vouhcer or credit note without item,which is required
Step 3 Then click on list and mention date range and load the list
Step 4 Now sales retrun or credit note without item vouchers will be loaded
Step 5 You can check vouchers from the list or apply filter on voucher number field in list by F7 and then mention voucher number you are looking for

We updated the masters and took a backup recently but still see incorrect sales data. What could have gone wrong?

If your BUSY is showing incorrect sales data please follow these steps to get this issue resolved:
Step 1: Take the backup of your data
Step 2: Then go to house-keeping menu
Step 3: Run regenerate dual vouchers,update master balance
Step 4: If gst amount is showing incorrect you can also run update voucher gst summary
Step 5: Make sure you are using the latest version of BUSY software
Step 6: If same issue persist then check the sales data in short range and check the date from it is start showing incorrect figures
Step 7: Then check the entries manually try to find the mistake and solve it accordingly

How do I filter reports in BUSY to only show payment transactions?

You don’t need to do filter on reports in BUSY have payment register report option you can generate direct.
But if you want to filter reports in BUSY to only show payment transactions, go to the filter option and select the type as payment.
you can follow these steps to generate payment register:
Step 1: To generate payment register Go to Display Menu and click on Account Books option
Step 2: Enter on Account Registers (Standard) and click on Payment Register option.
Step 3: Payment Register window will open select required option date range.
Step 4: Click on OK.
Step 5: Payment Register report will be generating, you can print, export, filter.
