In BUSY we have option for Backup & Restore Data not configurations. Steps for Backup & Restore data mentioned below:
Backup Data: To take backup of your data from BUSY follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select "Backup Data" option from Company tab.
Step 2: choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
Restore Data: To restore data in BUSY follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and select "Restore Data" option from Company tab.
Step 2: Choose the folder that contains backup files and click on OK button to start the restoring process.
Step 3: If same data already exist in then BUSY will provide you an option to override it. You can chosse Yes/No as required.
Furthermore when you create a new company, you can copy configurations from the existing company.
To create a copy of a company in BUSY need to take a backup and restore the backup in the same folder . Please Follow the Below Steps :
Step 1: Open BUSY and go to the Company Menu.
Step 2: From the Company menu click on submenu Backup Data
Step 3: In the populated window Company name list will be shown.
Step 4: Now you can Select the company for data backup
Step 5: And then you have to Mention the User and Password of the same company in the given field space.
Step 6: And specify the backup folder path in the given space . You can browse the folder path of use copy paste the folder path.
Step 7: After selecting backup location, now you can select financial year according to your requirement. Either all year of a single year..
Step 8: And then click on the Okay button and start the process.
Restore Data :
Step 1: Company Menu

Step 3: Specify the backup folder path
Step 4: Restore it with Overwrite No option.
To create a folder for today's date to save a backup of your company data in BUSY Accounting software, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY Accounting software.
Step 2: Go to the 'Backup' option from the main menu.
Step 3: Click on the 'Browse' button to select the location where you want to save the backup.
Step 4: In the 'Backup Path' window, type the folder name of which name you want create with date eg. if you take the backup on desktop then select the desktop location C:\Users\lenovo\Desktop & then type \ after the desktop in file path & then we have to enter the name of the folder along with today's date like : C:\Users\lenovo\Desktop\BUSY Backup 12.2.24 and press ok to proceed
Step 5: Then BUSY will ask you that you have to create this folder because folder is not exist then click on Ok button to create a folder.
Step 6: And save the backup in the newly created folder.
Here is the steps for transfer dfata to another system:
Step 1: Open BUSY Software
Step 2: Go to Company Menu
Step 3: If you want to take backup of particular company then, Click on Backup Data
Step 4: Select company and mention login user name and password
Step 5: Specify Path from which you would like to create a backup of the company.
Step 6: Select ALL financial year then click on start button, it will take few seconds to take backup
Note : If you want to take backup of all data then follow the given steps:
Step 7: Open BUSY software
Step 8: Click on Set Data Directory and check the Data Path
Step 9: Go to the same location then Copy Data folder and then Paste in Pendrive
Step 10: Plug the same pendrive into another system.
Step 11: Copy the data folder from the pendrive.
Step 12: Paste the copied data folder into the directory mentioned in BUSY.
In BUSY, you have a multi-layer of backups.

3. Backup when you close the company.

Follow the steps to configure BUSY agent auto backup.
Step 1: Install the BUSY agent exe for the BUSY installed folder. Step 2: Configure the BUSY agent.
Step 3: Configure auto-backup to Google Drive and local drives, if required.
Step 4: Specify the timing for the backup.
Step 5: Add BUSY Agent to Startup
Step 6: Then the BUSY agent starts to perform the auto backup.

Enforce Backup: When shutting down the BUSY, users are prompted to take a backup in their preferred folders. The software enforces this backup step, ensuring that users cannot close the company without taking a backup.
Backup on Close: Users are given the option to take a backup when closing the BUSY. However, this backup is optional, and users can choose to skip the backup operation if they don't want to create a backup at that moment.
BUSY Agent Backup: This is an automatic backup utility that users can install externally. It can perform backup operations automatically up to three times at specified intervals. One significant advantage of the BUSY Agent is that it can store backup files either on the user's PC or on Google Drive. In addition to backup functionality, BUSY offers other features such as Donagle Server, Cloud Sync (Incremental), and more.
