How do I troubleshoot errors during login?

 If you are facing errors while logging into your BUSY data, you can try the following troubleshooting steps. But before you do anything, make sure you have taken the latest backup of your data.
Step 1: If you encounter any Run Time Error (RTE), try running Reindex Database from the Company menu. This can fix any data corruption issues.
Step 2: If you have a backup of your data, try restoring it and see if the error persists. This can help you to recover from any data loss or damage.
Step 3: Check after change the data location.
If you have forgotten your username and password and want to reset them, you have to follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a backup of your company data
Step 2: Email your backup files to us at "support@busy.in"
Step 3: Attach a password reset request on your company’s letterhead with your BUSY Serial No., Contact Name, and Contact No. This will help us to verify your identity and process your request faster.
Step 4: We will send your data back after reset password As soon as possible

My company isn't appearing in the BUSY software list since a few minutes ago.

 If your company is not appearing in the company list for some time, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Restart your system. Sometimes, while working, a file generated by Microsoft might get locked, which can prevent the .DB files from being accessed. Restarting your system should fix the issue in most cases.
Step 2: If the issue persists, create a new folder with an alphanumeric name starting with "COMP" followed by any four-digit number.
Step 3: Copy only the .DB files from your previous company folder to the new folder and check if the issue has been resolved.
Step 4: If the issue still persists, you will have to replace the .db file with a old backup file. To do this, extract the data.bkp file and copy the .DB file within it.
Step 5: Replace the new .db file with the old one in the company folder.
Following these troubleshooting steps should make your company appear in the company list automatically.

Why can't I find the company data even though the data directory path is set correctly in BUSY?

 If you cannot find the company data even though the data directory path is set correctly,it is possible that there may be other issues causing the problem. It is recommended to check for any network or connectivity issues that may be preventing the software from accessing the data directories. Additionally, ensure that the data directories are properly linked and that the correct data path is being used.If issue persist then you can follow some options one by one for troubleshooting : 
1. you can check your companies folder in system data file should be in form of db.bds with Financial year Files and also check their size.
2. If data exist in system you can restart your system and check company list.
3. if same issue Persist then change the location of your data in system.
4.if still issue persist then you can replace db.bds file from old backup of your data in latest data after backup of latest data.

How can I recover or restore my company files and data if I can't see them after updating BUSY?

 If you are unable to see your company files and data after updating BUSY, you can try the following steps to recover or restore them:
Step 1. Check the data path: Make sure that the data path in BUSY is correctly set to the location where your company files are stored. You can change the data path in the software settings if needed.
Step 2. Search for the files: Use the file explorer on your computer to manually search for the company files. They are typically saved with a.bus extension. If you find them, you can open them directly in BUSY.
Step 3. Restore from backup: If you have taken a backup of your company data before updating BUSY, you can restore it. Go to the backup folder and select the appropriate backup file. Use the restore option in BUSY to bring back your data.
Step 4 : Check DB extension files

Troubleshooting BUSY data access and visibility issues.

 If you are unable to access your data in BUSY, you can try these steps:
Step 1: Ensure that you are entering the correct username & password to open the company.
Step 2: If showing any RTE ( Run time error) then please tell us more about the error message.
If the data is not visible in the list of companies, you can try these steps:
Step 1: Check the Data Directory is correctly set under the Set Data Directory tab.
Step 2: If SQL Database then make sure the entered server information is mentioned correctly under the Set Server Information tab
Step 3: Check the Company data exist in the Data Folder.

I am unable to open company files in BUSY. What could be the reason and how can I fix this?

 If you are unable to open a company in BUSY then there can be below reasons. Refer to the steps for troubleshooting the issue :
1. Verify if the Data path is correct showing companies in the list.
2. While opening company RTE's showing, For this you can follow some steps to resolve it :
Step 1: Take backup of the company.
Step 2: Go to the Company menu.
Step 3: Go to reindex database
Step 4: Select the company in which the error occurs.
Step 5: Mention the ID password of the company if any
Step 6: Select the option in the popup window You can proceed as I have the latest backup.
Step 7: Proceed to reindex the database for the company of all financial years.
Step 8: If the problem persists then you need to share the data backup to us on support@busy.in for the analysis.

I set my data in BUSY yesterday but today it is asking me to set it again. Why is that?

 If while click on open company.it show no company found or select data directory,then it may be the data location in location maybe changed or in BUSY path specfied earlier has been changed.You can follow these steps
Step 1 Open BUSY and then on main menu check set data directory
Step 2 Now in data directory,check the selected path
Step 3 Now on same path selected in BUSY,check same in your local drive and check any data exist in same folder path of which is given in BUSY
Step 4 If no data on selected path,you can check in your local drive,where your data is saved,then select path of that data folder
Step 5 Again in BUSY,in set data directory,paste or select same data folder path and save.
Step 6 Now click on open company and check the shown data which set earlier in BUSY

Why am I unable to log in to my company in BUSY, and how can I send an invoice through email from BUSY?

 To log in to your company in BUSY, it's essential to provide the correct company username and password. If you forget your login credentials, you must share your data backup via email to support@busy.in. The email should be sent from your registered mail ID for verification and assistance. After the password recovery process, you will receive the data on your registered email ID.
To send invoice through E mail from BUSY follow the steps:
Step 1: Go to transaction then select sales voucher type and click on Modify
Step 2: Mention the required details and open invoice in modify mode
Step 3: Press ALT+M shortcut to give command to email then select the format for sending email.
Step 4: Mention the recipient mail id in To field and press on send tab.

I cannot access the software or data after reinstalling it. What steps should I follow to retain access to data?

 If you are unable to access the software after reinstalling it, you should follow the steps as below :
Step 1: Check if the software is properly installed and updated to the latest version.
Step 2: Try to run BUSY as run as admin.
Step 3: Open antivirus if any and exclude BUSY exe from the antivirus.
If youare unable to access the data after reinstalling it, you should follow these steps :
Step 1 : Verify that your data files are in the correct location and have not been moved or deleted.
Step 2 : Make sure you have the correct login credentials and try logging in again.
Step 3 : If you still unable to find the data, then you can restore the data from any available backup.
