Find Solutions to Common Issues Related to data-specific - company access
If you are unable to login in to the company showing an Invalid error while mentioning the User ID
and password in BUSY after the system shut down below are the steps to follow:-
Step 1: Ensure that the User ID and password you are entering are correct.
Step 2: Open the Control Panel and then navigate to the "Region" settings.
Click on the "Administrative" tab and select the "Change system locale" option.
Step 3: Untick the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" option and restart
the system.
Step 4: If the issue persists then you have to share data with us at support@busy.in then we will
send your data after resetting the password on your mail within 48 hours.
If you are unable to close BUSY through the process of clicking on the 'Close Company' option and then exiting the software, you can try closing it from the Task Manager. Here are the steps to do it:
Step 1: Right-click on the Taskbar in your system.
Step 2: Click on the 'Task Manager' option.
Step 3: Under the 'Process' option, you will see the BUSY icon that is being opened from the back end.
Step 4: Click on the BUSY icon, then click on 'End Task' option. Also, check if there are any other BUSY icons (more than one icon) appearing or not. If there are, repeat the same process for each of them.
If you are facing issue of wrong password while log in to the company and you are trying with the correct password then please check the steps below :
1. Go to Control Panel.
2. Go to Regioanl Settings
3. Set Date format as DDMMYYYY with English United Kingdom
4. Click on Aadministrative Tab
5. Click on Change System Locale
6. Untick the option Beta Unicode UTF.
7. Now restart the system and check again.
If you will still get the same issue then :
A. You can check the same data in any other system
B. Or you can share the data to us at support@busy.in for Password resetting.
If you are not able to see all the companies in list, you can try these steps:
Step 1: If access database then check the Data Directory is correctly set under the Set Data Directory tab.
Step 2: Make sure the directory you have set contains all the company folders.
Step 3: If SQL database then check the server information is correctly mentioned under the Ser Server Information tab.
Step 4: Check the SQL server management studio contains all the companies.

If you can't find your newly entered company details, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
1:Single User License Issue:If using a single-user license and facing the no company found at data issue, close any newly opened instances and reopen the already existing one.
2:Database File Issue:If there's an issue with the db.bds file, making it impossible to open the company, you should restore from a recent backup. If a backup is not available, send your data to support@busy.in for repair charges may apply.
Note: If there's more than one data available, it may not show an error, but it might not display the data for the first company.
While we set data directory shows error as Invalid so fix it with these steps:
Step 1: You can mention set data directory upto 35-40 characters.
Step 2: You can mention correct data path where data exist.
Step 3: If you are working on network basis then check you have shared that data folder properly or not.
Step 4: If you have fixed wrong data path in BUSY location then also shows no company in list.
Step 5: Data path should be in comp form not in backup or zip form.
Step 6: Also you can change data directory from set data directory option in company menu.
Their may be multiple reason for not showing company name in BUSY
Reason 1 : under Comp folder db.bds file is missing
solution : copy the db.bds file from old backup Comp folder and past on the current Comp folder
Reason 2 : Comp folder permission issue
solutions : check companies allowed option on set data directory option under company , mention the specific comp folder name in companies allowed or if you want to allow to show all conpany then select data directory manually and disable generate data path file
To resolve the issue of opening a company in SQL mode for RTE 5, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and connect to your SQL Server.
Step 2: If you see a Recovery Pending label or the expand symbol is not visible in a BUSY database, do the following:
a) Right-click on the database.
b) Go to Task.
c) Select Take Offline.
d) Now, click on Bring Online from the same menu.
Step 3: If the database shows a Suspect label, you need to run a query to remove the suspect status.
If you encounter repeated login errors in BUSY, with the message indicating invalid username or password despite entering the correct credentials, you should check the beta option in the Region settings of your system. Ensure that this option is unticked. After unticking, restart the system.
If the issue persists, please share the necessary data with us for resetting the company user ID and password. You can send the data to support@busy.in. Once received, we will reset the username and password, and send the data backup to the email address you provided.
If company is showing in list then you can take some steps:
Step 1: You can make sure that data directory is correct if then set correct data directory where data exist.
Step 2: If issue persist then you can restart your system.
Step 3: If issue persist then copy your data from location for backup and now if you have any old backup then
just copy db file from there and replace in company folder in data location in system and restart BUSY and then you
can check your company in list.
