How long is my DSC valid for?
A Digital Signature Certificate is usually issued to users with a validity of 1, 2 and 3 years. If the user wishes to check the validity and expiry date of Digital Signature Certificate, follow the steps:
Step 1: Start by inserting your DSC dongle in your computer.
Step 2: Install the particular/preferred DSC drivers in your system(If the driver is already installed, ignore this step)
Step 3: Open your DSC application and can view your certificate.
Step 4: Can also contact to your DSC vendor.
What is a digital signature dongle device and how can I procure it?
A digital signature dongle device is a password-protected physical device that stores your digital signature certificate. It helps you to authenticate your identity and sign documents electronically. It also improves the security and integrity of your digital signature by preventing unauthorized access or tampering.
To procure a digital signature dongle device, you need to purchase it from a trusted Certifying Authority that issues digital signature certificates. You can choose from different types DSC vendors such as e Pass, e Mudra, etc.
Where can I find the settings to configure digital signatures?
To access the settings for configuring digital signature in BUSY, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY and go to the Administration tab.
Step 2: Click on the Configuration option and select Features / Options.
Step 3: Click on the General tab and look for the option “Apply Digital Signatures in Invoice/Document”.button, you will find the settings to configure it.
Step 4: Set this option to Y and click on the Configuration button. This will open the settings window for digital signature.
How do I install my DSC for BUSY?
To install your DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) for BUSY, you will need to obtain the DSC from a provider in your area. Once you have the DSC, you can install it by following the instructions provided by the DSC provider. The Invoice shows a digital signature but it does not seem valid. What do I need to check to ensure the digital signature is valid?
To validate the digital signature in the invoice, you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: After exporting a PDF file from BUSY,
Step 1: Open the pdf file and right click on the question mark showing the validity unknown.
Step 1: Click on Show Signature Properties.
Step 1: Click on Show Signer’s Certificate and select Trust.
Step 1: Click Add to Trusted Identities and click OK.
Step 1: Select all the check boxes for the new window and click OK.
How do I install a digital signature dongle?
To install a digital signature dongle for BUSY Accounting software follow below steps:
Step1: First you need to attach DSC dongle in the system
Step2: Next, go to the file explorer where your Digital Signature Certificate is visible, and proceed by double-clicking on the DSC file
Step3: Now proceed to install the setup, which may take a few minutes and once the installation process is complete, you can then proceed to attach the DSC in BUSY.
What should I do if the system is running slow while trying to export invoice with Digital Signature?
If the system is running slow while trying export invoice with Digital Signature , you may need to check some following things:
1.Your system's performance and try to improve it.
2.You can also try closing other programs and applications running in the background to free up resources and improve performance.
3.You can reinstall your Digital signature setup.
4: You can reinstall PDF reader and make sure PDF reader should have preference for Digital signature validate.
Do I need to login as the main user for the DSC to work properly?
To ensure your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) works properly, have full access to export documents, connect the DSC device to your Windows system, and log in with valid credentials.
Steps for Superuser:
1.Log in as a superuser.
2.Go to administration.
3.Open users and access the required user profile.
4.Search for allow to digitally sign documents and set this option to yes.
If you got the full access so no need to login with superuser or main user.

After ticking the Trust options, what do I need to apply?
To apply the Trust options after ticking them, follow these steps:
1.Click on Add to trusted certificates tab.
2.Press OK.
3.Check the option Use this certificate as a trusted root.
4.Click on Certified Documents.
5.Check all options, including Execute dynamic content embedded in a certified document and Execute high-privilege JavaScripts embedded in a certified document.
Also, check Perform privileged system operations (networking, printing, file access, etc). Then press ok and validate the signature.
