I changed the invoice date but it is still showing up in the wrong tax period in BUSY. How can I get it to show in the correct period?

If you have modified the invoice date in BUSY software, but it still appears in a different period, it might be due to defining ITC claimed for a specific month for that voucher from the Monthly ITC Tagging register before modifying the invoice date. Additionally, if you set Pick ITC from monthly ITC tagging as Y when opening the GST Summary or GSTR3B, the voucher will show up in the wrong tax period.
To rectify this, follow the steps below:
Step 1: If you are not using the Monthly ITC tagging option, set the Pick ITC from monthly ITC tagging option to N.
Step 2: If you are using the same option, assign the correct month for ITC claimed from the Monthly ITC Tagging register. To access the Monthly ITC tagging registers, follow these steps:
- Head to the Transaction menu
- Click on GST Miscellaneous utilities
- Click on Monthly ITC Tagging, depending on whether you want to use GSTR2A or GSTR2B.
By following these steps, your voucher will display in the correct tax period.

I made a new purchase entry but it is not reflecting in the ITC claim in BUSY. What could be the reason?

If you have entered new purchase entries, but they are not showing under ITC in BUSY software, it might be due to the following reasons:
Option 1: You may not be using monthly ITC Tagging options, but while opening the GST summary or GSTR3B report, you have set Pick Relevant ITC from the monthly ITC Tagging option as Y.
Option 2: In the purchase voucher, the ITC eligibility may be set as Ineligible ITC section 17(5) or section 16(4), which is why it's not showing under Net ITC in the GST Report.
To correct this, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Set pick ITC from Monthly ITC Tagging as N if you are not using the same option.
Step 2: Define the correct ITC Eligibility in the purchase voucher so that it would fall under ITC section.
If after troubleshooting, it still doesn't show under ITC, then run the update voucher GST summary and regenerate the dual voucher once after taking a backup.
By following these steps, it should fall under ITC.
