To edit the details of an item in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to Administration menu.
Step 2: Select Masters then click on Items.
Step 3: Click on Modify and select the item of which you want to edit the details.
Step 4: Make the necessary changes then save.
Note: Take backup of your data before making any changes.
How do I update the item opening quantity of item masters in BUSY?
To update the opening quantity of item masters in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the Administration section and then select the Master option.
Step 2: From there, select item and click on modify item and now you can edit the opening quantity of the desired item master.
NOTE : Opening stock can be changed only in begnning financial year.
How do I save and print a voucher after entering Item ?
To save and print a voucher after entering item in BUSY ,Please follow below steps:
Step 1: After you've entered all the necessary details for your item entry in voucher press the F2 key on your keyboard.Or Click on save Button.
Step 2: Once you've saved the voucher, you'll have the option to print the invoice.Click on the Print button to Print the voucher.
How do I configure tax categories properly for GST, IGST and cess?
BUSY already has the default Tax Categories created as per the GST compliance. However, if you want to create more tax categories, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company, then, go to Administration tab.
Step 2: Select Masters the click on Tax Category.
Step 3: Click on Add and enter the required details such as Name, Type, Tax Rate, Cess, etc. and save.
How can i update opening balance in an account master in BUSY
To update opening balance in account master in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to administration section then click on master menu.
Step 2: Choose the accounts option then select modify tab
Step 3: Access the required master in modify mode and update opening balance in account opening field then save the master.
Note: Opening balance of account can be update in beginning financial year only.
How can I create a new item in BUSY Accounting Software?
To create a new item master in BUSY, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to Administration.
Step 2: Select Masters and click on Item.
Step 3: Click on Add option and enter item details such as item name, group, unit, tax category, price etc.
Step 4: After entering details save the item master by clicking on save button or using F2 shortcut Key.

To edit an account ledger in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to Administration tab.
Step 2: Select Masters and click on Account.
Step 3: Click on Modify and choose the ledger of which you want to edit.
Step 4: After opening it make the necessary changes and save again.

Step 1:Go to Administration menu and then select Configuration option.
Step 2: And then select Features & Options and select Inventory menu
Step 3: Now here, Enable the Item Category Option and Open the Item master
Step 5: Press F3 & Create Item Category
Step 6: Add it through custom column in inventory Reports
How can I set up tax-inclusive pricing for my items?
Yes, you can use the feature of Tax-Inclusive Pricing in BUSY. Please follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to Administration and then to Masters.
Step 2: Go to Items and modify your Item. Enable the option 'Tax-Inclusive Sale' or 'Purchase Price', and define the Price in the Item Master.
Whenever you create a sale or purchase, you will see the price as per your requirement.
How to change particular tax rate in expense head?
To change particular tax rate in expense head in BUSY you need to follow below steps:
Step 1: Take backup of your data before any process
Step 2: Go to Administration menu and then submenu master
Step 3: Then select account and click on modify option
Step 4: Select the specific account that you want to modify and change tax catagory as per requirment and save it.
